He trading BI in a Deng deal isn't sourced in any way IMO. Doesn't make sense if would be stars want to contend. If he's good enough to attach to Deng he could either help you win or be dealt for another piece. If they move Jordan and stretch Deng that gets them close enough IMO to convince two guys.

The other funny thing is that no ne assumes LA can get guys to sacrifice NBA salary to come to LA when it should be pretty well known that being on a contender in LA provides other income opportunities. Top guys are looking at a different total compensation picture. The days of that being enough on it's own are over. But if you can be on a winner in NY or LA you have opportunities.

If the James/George dream ever came true, BI's value would be in helping you get your 3rd star.

Yeah moving to LA should help Lebron get his name out there.

We (reportedly) wouldn’t trade Ingram for PG but we will for a chance we might be able to sign him?

Maybe Lebron could finally get a national ad campaign

We have to remember that the idea is poster-driven, not FO-driven.

Amazing what some "in control" change of speed and a few made jump shots can do to make you look good.

He's doing good against second and third stringers.

It's not inaccurate though. However, yes, we don't always have to poop on everything just because we can.

He’s taking shots within the flow of the offense. He can be aggressive and take the open jump shots as they come. He just needs to nail them.

Really really really really really really hate Ingram's defense.. So much so he should be benched for some of the (bleep) he does out there.

Ingram's defense hasn't even been that bad. In fact, its been good, which is why they put him on Evans because it was Evans who has been killing us this game (and basically has accounted for their entire offense).

He got beat on 3 occasions with back door moves. He simply doesn't pay attention to his man off-ball.

It's been brutal off ball, man.

Good to see the ball go in the hoop though and he made some nice half court reads to Lopez, specifically.

Ingram's overall defense has not been good or at the very least has been very inconsistent. Particularly off-ball where he seems to struggle paying attention to the ball and his man.

Anyway, Ingram this game is both the good and the bad but shows more the truth with him.

Ingram on spot ups and cuts.

Yes.

Ingram on iso's or shots on the move

No!!

Ingram's role should be that of an off-ball slasher and a spot up shooter. That should be his primary role this year as the rest of his game is worked on because that is going to maximize the two things he can do at an NBA level and you hope the rest of his game comes around to it.

No more iso "next Kobe Durant" Ingram please.

Not sure if this is the right game to complain about BI, he’s been solid but he’s usually solid in the first half. It’s in the 2nd half that things go awry for him when he goes into trying to live up to Magic’s 20ppg mode

Sorry, his on the ball D has been good. Off the ball, been bad... but I'd say that about the whole team this game. Even Randle started off slacking a bit (but became more active toward the beginning of the second quarter). I haven't liked the team's energy as a whole this game. You could see that come back from the Clippers coming. It's disappointing that a team this young (Ingram included) believes they can take their foot off the pedal against anyone.

Overall I'm satisfied with what I'm seeing from him, everyone knows I defend Ingram to no end.. But I have to call it like I see it. His off ball defense is atrocious. Some of the worse Ive seen, and there's no excuse for it.

BI's game is a mess sorry I just think his work ethic has to match his talent. He's not quick so whatever move he does is neutralized so he can't penetrate. He's not strong so post ups aren't his game. I agree with someone above who said he should be a catch and shoot get on the move guy use his length to get off shots but the problem is he's not a good shooter smh

He needs to beg Kobe to work with him and define a game for himself he is not a star player nor has the potential to be he can be a contributor though. Much like JR. They just aren't talented enough we as Lakers fans just have to admit that . Lonzo is the potential superstar that can turn this around.
