That game at MIL Nick blew a 1 pt lead in final secs by holding the ball for a foul and refs called jumpball instead. Lost to Marty Conlon on FTs. Delbert was furious and Chick was mighty miffed too. Nick did that later at PHX and same scenario unfolded and we lost at the buzzer. Chick was REALLY pissed then. Called them a buncha schoolboys!

Damn this is pretty awesome.
Did I miss it or something? No Bird or Shaq? I probably missed it.

The Vlade flop on Grant Hill's drive had me chuckling. Larry Johnson looked like Beast from X-men even as a rook. He always reminded me of Bo Jackson in so many ways. BTW, best baseball card of all time? Bo Jackson Score bat behind the neck and Canseco 87 topps with the woodgrain finish followed by Eric Davis same 87 topps card with the woodgain finish.

Shaq there, bro. Good eye. Bird was missing for some reason. I recall his first gm being played on NBA TV many years back, it was vs HOU. They had it in the volt, dunno why. Bball ref has his 14/10/5 statline because that game does exist. HOU was in the EAST(!) and Bucks and Bulls in the WEST(!) in 79/80, Dladi. What kinda sh is that? Smelts played HOU in first round in 80 and then as the Western team in the Finals the next season.

I got zero recollection of that Kobe shot. I thought he musta scored one at The Forum in the opener, but I do remember a EC trip in the first week. Billy Boy won the 96 election the night we played at NYC, remember driving the 215 listening to Chick that night.

Kobe DNP in that game. That was the first Lakers ticket I ever bought myself. I never sat as near to the court @ the forum ever again.

Not the most graceful debut shot for the Dream.
