Jameer Nelson has been released by the Nuggets. Should have a number of suitors.

Better then Ennis and he brings that savvy veteran influence, I hope we waive Ennis and sign Jameer... Ennis has been a disappointment, at least Nelson will be a positive influence on the young guys.

Who cares he's going to end up with a contender anyways.

With the unfortunate injury to Lin, Is it possible Brooklyn takes on Clarkson? There gonna need another guard scorer.

Don't they have the ability to absorb or expiring to trade him for?

If so, then I could see the fit.

Maybe the Nets would give up Mozgov for JC.

they should look into acquiring Allen Crabbe or Caris Levert....they do not have the cap space to take on Clarkson.

+ They already have a guard like JC in Sean Kilpatrick...on a minimum contract

Lakers get: Harris and Booker

Nets get: Randle, Clarkson and two 2nd round picks

Why for Lakers?
We get a pure shooter in Harris and we free up cap space for the summer, since both Harris and Booker are expiring.

Why for Nets?
They need a power forward and Randle provides them with one. Clarkson replaces the injured Lin. He had success doing that before, didnt he? They also get some 2nd round picks to help even things out.

I understand what your thinking, and if I was unbias, I could accept the logic....but why would we have to toss in picks? Not sure I could send Randle to the Nets....I mean if they are good in a couple years, and DLo and Julius are a big part of their success....that may be too much to handle.

If Chicago wants to dump Portis, I wonder if they would send Nwaba with him?

Lakers get:
Portis
Nwaba

Bulls get:
Clarkson

The Bulls would have the cap space to take on Clarkson, and would provide them a needed scoring guard....especially until Lavine is healthy.

The Lakers would shed Clarksons salary, and get a young defensive wing in Nwaba. We have no need for Portis....could simply waive him.

That's a good way of achieving the two max plan, though the poor Nets are being turned into the 2016-17 Lakers. I'd only send one second round pick, though, and it wouldn't be Chicago's 2019 2nd.

I was actually wondering if the Portis fight would make them more open to taking Julius Randle, depending on how they want to handle Portis long-term.

I would think they would leap at the chance to get Randle....that roster is low on talent....

I heard Dlo is a bust. Can we trade him for Jc? Of course Nets need to include a few future 1sts too.

I obviously rather not give up the picks, but Im just trying to be as realistic and unbiased as possible. We could really use Harris's shooting and Booker is decent. Like i said, they are both expiring contracts, so we make out on this deal all the way around. We improve this season because Harris fits a need and lets face it, shooters are a great commodity and very hard to get these days. We also set our selves up for next season, since both player acquired are expiring. I would gladly give up th picks if we could improve while at the same time dumping Clarkson.

They are tanking so suspending Portis and losing games makes more sense for them.
