Seriously, I don't think they could've played worse.

Don't challenge them.

That's the worst effort and execution wise in 30ish years or more. The Lakers have an excellent opener record since effin 91/2. Even the Threatt teams won in 92, 3, 4, ya know. Yowza. There was a bad one in 02/03 vs SA without Shaq, but at least the score was respectable.

Sedale was super money rolling off to the left.
Mid range jumper master.

Guaranteed half of these kids who on post on LG nowadays has no clue who we are taking about

Sounds like you're talking about some bald guy whose x knows about dre

This team looks really Lost out there.
Like a damn pickup game at 24 Hour Fitness.

Was watching All the Acess Sportnet and the Lakernation scrimmage videos on YouTube During their offseason. An in Luke’s interviews with Serena Winters it seemed like he was gonna work them Hard for training camp.

With this type Of dysfunction we have been witnessing during the preseason and now the opener looks like they were just hanging out at the beach at Luke’s bbq resturaunt chowing down on ribs all damn day.

I hate to say it as well but alot of the blame does lie on The coaches. The “players coach” approach isn’t working. Not saying they gotta drill these guys to death like Tom Thibodeau but you definitely gotta challenge them more. This is awful Basketball!

The perfect example is Brandon Ingram. He wasn’t this bad coming off the bench last season in his rookie year. Plus going back even further to his one year at Duke playing for Coach K he was a superstar and he looked really disciplined. I know it’s apples to oranges comparing his performance from
College to the NBA. But like I said earlier he wasn’t this bad last season in his rookie year.

i remember how ecstatic laker fans are when they signed luke. we are complaining about coaches like forever. maybe the problem are the players.

Luke is inexperienced and makes big mistakes, but the Front Office, Showtimers loitering around and their protector Jeanie is the problem

I think you are completely off on this prediction. Tonight, the lakers lost to a mostly veteran team. Lakers are still young, they missed some easy shots they should have made (which I atrribute to opening night jitters) and will play much better tomorrow night. And last I looked, Phoenix was losing by 50, so they are in far greater disarray.

I expect lakers to play much better and win tomorrow night.

Bruv, KCP's return will hardly change anything. Ingram is the number one key to our failure.

He sucks. We saw it last year and we will see more of it in full display this year. The kid's shot is broken twice over.

He might as well sit out the entire season just to work on his shot to make it at least NBA-level worthy. I don't think his shot is even worth the G-league level. (bleep) Ingram for real.

I think BI would be okay if he just focused on defense and moving the ball. But yeah right now he's the worst starter in the league.

I think if we had a high IQ player who could score BI would be in a more comfortable position to succeed

Russell was the only guy worth a damn last year. Don’t like BI. Gotta give Lonzo and Kuzma time. We’re not close. Need to sell the farm for real talent. Blew the Cousins opportunity. Blew the George opportunity. They’re banking on LeBron and I think he’s coming unless we blow it. But I wouldn’t dismiss the idea of us blowing it.

Alex Len always looks like a all star against us, and he was out in there 1st game. I will be glad to be proven wrong but this team has been fooling us for far to long.

If the Lakers were a soccer team in England they wouldn't even play in the NBA.

Deng 100% should not start. If Luke starts Deng again tomorrow vs PHX, he's just being stubborn/obstinate - which is exactly why folks didn't like B. Scott.

I have been saying this for quite sometime, this team is built for more of a half court offensive team, rather then the “GSW” uptempo style.

Just cause Luke was part of GSW title in Oakland, and we have some youth, doesn’t mean he can duplicate it here. We don’t have the shooters, we don’t have a defensive presence like Green, we don’t have shooters like Steph, Klay, Iggy, we don’t have players with high IQ and etc.

They got rid of Lou, Swaggy and so on and filled out the team with mostly draft picks and rookies.

I would honestly enjoy Memphis style of bully ball and grind-it-out games as opposed to this lead pass, uptempo, run and gun BS were having shoved down our throats. It’s hurting our team more than it’s helping.

I don’t think so bruh.

Last season he dunked on Giannis Antetokounmpo , Alex Len, Jonas Valančiūnas , Pau Gasol, Alex Len, Cody Zeller, and Taj Gibson.

An this season thus far he can’t score posting up the 6’4 Miloš Teodosić? 🤔

Don’t know the convos Luke, Magic and staff are having with him, but maybe fixing his shot wasn’t really a good thing in his case. He looks hesitant and discouraged... and he ended the season very aggressive.

Definitely a step back for him right now.

Playing with Deng was like a soccer team starting a game with a red card.

I'd like to see that lineup and I'd like to see Lonzo play the whole game unless he's still not recovered.

At this point, I think the earlier we make a coaching change, the faster we can "rebuild" again. The "only one game" excuse is just an excuse. Is it too late to have MDA back?

The first thing you notice about the game was it was men against boys there.
The Lakers were intimidated. Big time.
They missed easy shots under the basket. Too many easy shots missed. The Lakers cannot shoot. The Clippers in turn were
making open shots.
Ingram isn't strong enough to play with the men yet. He should develop his shooting skills. Put him on bench.
The first thing the Lakers should do now is hire a shooting coach.
Maybe Kobe. But anybody.
The Lakers can't shoot worth a 1 cents. Why give up Swaggy and Lou the only Lakers who could score?
Think Walton can develop into a good coach, but he has no experience.
Lonzo will take 2 years before he is ready.
