Any reason why he didn't play game two? If it's because of "bringing him along slowly," boy I am getting sick of today's sissified NBA. I remember when rookies hit the floor running, playing all 8 preseason games. Nowadays, it is so common that a featured rookie gets a few DNPs for whatever precaution. Lonzo not practicing today too annoys me. I know his ankle is fine. You can sprain an ankle in game 1 of the regular season, game 10, or game 30. Should we hold Lonzo out till the playoffs? He might sprain his ankle the first round, so lets hold him out for the 2nd round. LOL! These precautions make zero sense to me.
So you wanna risk him messing his ankle up again just so he can play in a PRESEASON game?
You risk messing his ankle up again in every game he plays. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

You're smart enough to know that playing on an already compromised ankle magnifies the risk of an injury by quite a hit.

Actually I was dumb enough to play on an already hurt ankle and injured it again. But the point remains, there will never be a game where he is immune from injuring the ankle. Luke makes it sound like the trainer is making the call and that is good enough for me. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
Markelle Fultz came to the 76ers with a solid jump shot and a bad free throw shot.
They spent the entire summer changing his jump shot in an attempt to make him a better free throw shooter, and wound up breaking it worse.
Now his jumper is missing AND his free throws are missing and Philly is in a mad dash to get it back to where it was.
Typical 76er logic.
I believe that Fultz changed his shooting form on his own without the 76ers knowledge. At least that's what I read.
The real concern is his shoulder, which may be part of the reason for his odd form. Anyway, who knows. This may be a little blip that could be all but forgotten a few weeks from now.

I'm seriously dumbfounded by his FT. If you're a decent basketball player, with lots of coordination since you're a guard, having good FT shooting form should come easily. He's not just decent, he's the #1 pick in the NBA. What the heck is he doing? Like he's just learning to play or something. LOL!

I feel the Sixers acquired a real talent in Fultz but it's unclear just how - and how well - he fits into what they want to do with Simmons. They may not have selected the guy best suited for playing off the ball, or as someone coming off the bench in spare minutes in relief of Ben as a rookie. Just have to watch and see how the kid reacts and gives effort. Maturity may develop. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”
