Their GM is an idiot. Hope this has not been posted elsewhere.

Pritchard had offers for all three of Portland's 1st round picks or Gary Harris along with Denver's lottery pick and passed on both to take Oladipo and Sabonis.
So if they took the Denver deal they could have had Gary Harris and Donovan Mitchell (who looked good in the summer league).
If they took the Portland deal they could have had Zach Collins, Harry Giles, and Caleb Swanigan.
Unless we were willing to offer Ball or Ingram, stupid ass Pritchard was going to pass on Randle / Clarkson and two picks. _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot! |

That Portland deal is eh. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

It might not go down in history this way, but they got way less for Paul George than OKC got for Harden. Indiana is also burdened with Oladipo's contract. All these new rules to protect owners from themselves and teams still find ways to muck things up. |

I just used the actual picks. Could have been Donovan Mitchell, Kyle Kuzma and Caleb Swanigan. _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot! |

Pritchard is from Oklahoma City himself and has long revered Presti. Likely convinced Simon to make the deal because it hurt the Lakers, sent PG out west and got them a guy from IU they could market. Getting the most talent wasn't the plan. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Plan or not he did get talent back . and even deal probably not, but under the gun trade wasn't as bad as most thought. Side note if Thad Young opts out and the Pacers pass on the options on Collison, Bogdanovic and Jefferson the Pacers will have only 37 mil in guaranteed contracts this summer.
Either way PG 13 was gone after this season |

If you see Domantis Sabonis play , you will see a totally different player than the one who played in OKC last season.
The Thunder played him as a stretch 4, 20 feet away from the basket who shot 3's he shot 159 last season. As a Pacer Sabonis is playing inside (has attempted only 2- 3's so far), he's setting picks, rebounding and scoring.
Oladipo is using his speed and quickness , not just shooting outside jumpers.
Little note Pritchard was born in Indiana and lived here till he was 12 or 13, he knows the type of basketball, Hoosiers like to watch. This team is the type Bird wanted last year's to be a run and gun team.
Will they even make the playoffs? Hard to say this early, but they are a more exciting team to watch. The team has no stars (yet) but gives 100% something last years team, including PG 13, didn't do. PG13 was gone either way so a rebuild was inevitable. |
