What I do think we need to do is shorten up the rotation. I get why they signed Bogut, but these guys want to run at all times.

Rotation basically just becomes JC, Hart, Kuz, Randle. 9 man is it. Bogut in case anyone gets in foul trouble. Time to just let the young guys go.

Agreed. Brewer occasionally for Hart if he's having a rookie night.

John Wall

18 points on 22 shots. = that's not dominating Lonzo, that's getting defended well and taking a huge number of shots.

9 assists - nice

3 rebounds - meh

1 steal

MINUS 14 when on the floor

Lonzo Ball the rookie

6 points on 11 shots - terrible

10 assists - more than Wall

7 rebounds - more than Wall

1 steal 1 block

PLUS 13 while on the floor

I almost think Ball had the better night head to head in spite of the shot not falling.

Ugly game for most of it but I'll take it!

That’s what he was supposed to do. Wall wanted to jump into him to get the foul. Wall didn’t let him, thus the double pump 3. If they wanted an open 3, they would have setup a screen to come off.

no, he was not supposed to let Wall get in between him and the basket

He was trying to not foul, and Wall stupidly looked for the contact instead of the basket. It was the right play by Zo.

once he got beat....maybe

Not if you have to make a three with a 6’7 guy hovering behind you. He had to double clutch know Zo was there

Would it be that crazy to start Julius instead of Lopez??

I'll co-sign

I kinda like him off the bench. I would like to see him play more minutes though. The hopeful part of me thinks that's part of Luke's plan to tick him off and motivate him.

Ball would be a cheat code if he was knocking down his shots right now.

Wall was really only a baby Gate tonight. My puppy could knock him down. And that last play trying to jump into Lonzo... Who's the rookie?

I agree with the more minutes for Julius. Quite frankly there shouldn’t be a backup C in the league that he can’t handle and outrun. Key point - he’s at the C position. That’s where the mismatch is for this team.

He still shot an awful three because again, he looked for the contact and not the shot.

Would of been perfect if the Dodgers won Game 2. I know it'd against the rules to mention nothing non Laker related....

Great Win for our Young Lakers! or Like Mark Jackson calls us the Baby Lakers

Yea Luke clearly knows that. He’s slashed all backup PG minutes as he should.

It was pretty clear that was his intent from the start of the possession.

Otherwise Washington would have actually tried to get him an open look on the inbounds pass.

Watched the replay... Bradley Beal was wide open in the corner, but John Wall is too worried about making the shot over Lonzo so he took the big L

Lopez or Ball couldn't hit a shot... we had a crazy amount of turnovers and still somehow managed to beat one of the best teams in the East.

Life is good.

Our transition offense in this game was horrible, missed so many easy opportunities. Have to cut down on those careless unforced turnovers too. Even though I love the W, Im worried about how easy we switch on defense, I don’t see that going too well in the future.

Julius Randle's defense on John Walla was very vital. It got to the point they were sending screens to get Julius off of him.

When's the last time you heard of a team needing to set screens for their all-star point guard so he could get around the other team's power forward?

Fantastic finish to the game by everyone. KCP hit the clutch shot. The Wizards not being able to foul.

Sweet win.

Few more of these performances, and I think we should put Randle back in the start

Won’t go that far. He’s playing center, not PF. His best games have come at C. He’s been fairly poor at PF next to another big.

The big is Bogut, not Lopez who would be nowhere near the paint and isn't a shot player.
