I'm so freaking proud of those 5 young guys. Ball, KCP, Ingram, Kuz, and JR all did an incredible job to close out this game. I'm not gonna lie, I almost shed a little tear.

John Wall

18 points on 22 shots. = that's not dominating Lonzo, that's getting defended well and taking a huge number of shots.

9 assists - nice

3 rebounds - meh

1 steal

MINUS 14 when on the floor

Lonzo Ball the rookie

6 points on 11 shots - terrible

10 assists - more than Wall

7 rebounds - more than Wall

1 steal 1 block

PLUS 13 while on the floor

I almost think Ball had the better night head to head in spite of the shot not falling.

Ball would be a cheat code if he was knocking down his shots right now.

Not to mention Wall didn't even want to defend Lonzo that much. I think Julius defended Wall more than Wall defended Lonzo tonight

Nance had a great game... maybe over Lopez.

Wow Lonzo. That D was awful. Got away with one.

Ugly game for most of it but I'll take it!

That’s what he was supposed to do. Wall wanted to jump into him to get the foul. Wall didn’t let him, thus the double pump 3. If they wanted an open 3, they would have setup a screen to come off.

no, he was not supposed to let Wall get in between him and the basket

He was trying to not foul, and Wall stupidly looked for the contact instead of the basket. It was the right play by Zo.

It was the right play AFTER getting beat. Yes. Good on Zo for not fouling I guess.

But I have never seen a defensive play where the goal is to stand behind the player shooting.

If that is the strategy behind our defense, maybe that explains some of the struggles we have on that end of the floor?

Guys, youre doing it wrong, stand in front of the shooter! LAL becomes a top 15 defensive team. Boom. Haha

Strong enough for C's, agile enough for Allstar PGs.

My man.

I don't hate him off the bench, but ya gotta give him more than 7 minutes before you sub him into the 4th quarter.

You guys realize we held Washington to I think a season low in points in the 1st quarter right? While our offense hasn’t exactly been flashy in the first, we haven’t really gotten ourselves into a hole since the Clipper game.

Randle didn't look very good in the first half...while Nance looked great

Randle did really really well in the 4th and OT. It'd be nice if he could bring that energy and effort in every game and every quarter, not just at the end of a couple of games

but, I'll take what he's done in the 4th quarters of the last 2 games...he was pretty good

yeah, I think people are forgetting that
our starting 5's defense has been really good in Q1. I'd like them to be just at good in Q3, but baby steps I guess

What a win. First regular season ive enjoyed watching for a few years. This team is seriously mature for a young team

Most encouraging thing is were competitive in all these games despite shooting an unsustainably bad % from 3.

you know what's extra funny for me, the Sixers almost won against the Rox but EG foiled their lofty dreams.

Meanwhile, with our (bleep) offense, we still managed to eke out a win.

Can't wait for that nasty game we'll have vs the Sixers.
