I'd have to say Denzel with:
The Hurricane
Remember The Titans
Training Day

Back-to-back-to-back Bangers

or, Pacino dropped Serpico, Godfather pt. II and then Dog Day Afternoon in a row.

What do you guys think?

I thought John Q was great and it came out right after Training Day, so I'd call that a 4 movie run for Denzel.

Ed Norton....

Rounders
American History X
Fight Club

and before Rounders was The People vs. Larry Flynt if you wanted to include that.

Not all are favorites of mine, but Tom Hanks had an incredible run of huge hits in the 90's..

A League of Their Own
Sleepless in Seattle
Philadelphia
Forrest Gump
Apollo 13
Toy Story

then he missed with "That Thing You Do!" but kept rolling with

Saving Private Ryan
You've Got Mail
Toy Story 2
The Green Mile
Cast Away

I think the thing these posts show, is how garbage movies today are.

How about Steve Martin?

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Parenthood

OK, more seriously....

Clint Eastwood:

Dirty Harry, Joe Kidd, High Plains Drifter

or even a second three movie run later in his career:

Pale Rider, Heartbreak Ridge, The Dead Pool

That would be my pick.

Training Day is one of my favorite movies but I didn't like the other two because I thought the performances of the other actors were so bad they brought down quality of the movies.

As for John Q, I thought Denzel was great but thought the plot was implausible. The constant beating the audience over the head trying to drive home the point of how American healthcare sucks was too much for me as well.

Pacino also had Glengarry Glen Ross, Scent of a Woman and Carlito's Way.

Days of Thunder was about 20 minutes of a good movie before it dawns on you it's just Top Gun with NASCAR.

Don't think anyone is beating John Cazale's Godfather/The Conversation/Godfather II run.

Only person that comes close is Nic Cage's run of The Rock/Con Air/Face Off.

Some have soured on these movies but Tom Hanks' early 90s' run of
A League of their Own, Sleepless in Seattle, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, and Apollo 13 is up there.

Why are people posting more than 3? The whole point is to pick the 3.

Not at least 3.
