Posting here wondering if some people here have similar experiences.
I'm not really on talking terms with my next door neighbors (just wave if I see them) but nothing really bad or negative.
So I ordered something online and expected to take delivery of it yesterday, but when I noticed nothing was there on the front porch, I checked Amazon to track the package. Fortunately they took a picture of the completed delivery and I immediately realized that it was my neighbor's front entryway. So I did the logical thing and popped by my neighbor's door to see if they were in. Nobody answered the door, but since they were moving away soon, they took down the blinds and I could see that they had taken my package and left it on their foyer.

Should I go talk to them again to return my package, leave a note, or should I just contact Amazon to ask for a replacement?
lawful good solution: knock on your neighbors' door, thank them for caring for your package and wish them luck at their new home
lawful neutral solution: let the neighbors take it upon themselves to see the package through to you, return it to amazon, or keep it. Ask amazon for a replacement.
lawful evil solution: ask amazon for a replacement. Upon receipt of the replacement, go get your package from your neighbors and enjoy having 2 of whatever is in the package
neutral evil solution: get the amazon replacement, fetch the original package, return one of them for a full refund
chaotic evil solution: eat a kit kat by taking uneven bites through the entire wafer group instead of breaking them off and eating them one by one like a rational human being _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."

If it's a Fleshlight or something else porn related and they put it on your porch later, make sure they didn't use it first. Hope that was helpful. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

unrelated story I once had a laptop shipped to my moms house while I was in college. Someone broke in close to Christmastime and stole all the gifts under the tree. I call and ask if a laptop package was still there and they say no. I call staples and tell them what happened (they didnt ask for signature and nobody in my fam ever saw the package to bring it inside so technically it was a failed delivery). Staples sends a replacement no questions asked.
Next time I'm at my moms house I immediately notice the original laptop was never stolen and just slightly out of view of the front door. So ironically a burglar broke in to the house when there was a package right at the front door worth more than everything he stole inside. I ended up with 2 laptops. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi

Wait, so you kept the other laptop? So in other words, someone stole your gifts so you stole from Staples?

UPDATE:
So I was able to get a face to face this morning when I knocked on their door. Tried to keep it pleasant as possible, he told me they had plenty of boxes to move and told me he'd look around and get back to me if he found it. <cough, bs, cough>
Just going to get my money back. Enjoy the housewarming gift.

That might be a bit much considering the circumstances. If you are that morally crooked to simply take what's not yours and then lie about it, then I'd rather not deal with you as a fellow human being. I gave him a chance to do the right thing and ease his conscience, so that's good enough for me. _________________ Character Manchester United | Greatest European Moments Fabric of United - Our Belief
We need more amazon lockers. Dropping stuff in front of people's houses is just too risky nowadays. We live in the wild wild west. _________________ Lakers. Built different.

I agree but seems like the poster doesn't want to make a scene and they probably won't see them again since they are moving away.
They're moving anyway, so you have no reason to feel uncomfortable. Worst comes to worst it's a bit uncomfortable for a few weeks, then you never have have to see them again.
You could go back tomorrow or in a couple of days to ask if they've found it yet, and be a little more direct this time, let them know that you know they have it.
Me personally, it'd be the principle of not wanting someone else to profit from being dishonest, I'm a bit high strung in that sense I guess _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.
