- Consider this, USF (#16 AP & #13 Coaches) and UCF (#20 AP & #20 Coaches) are both likely to remain undefeated until they play in the final game of the regular season.
- During those 5 weeks before they play....several if not many teams ahead of them are very likely to incur a loss. They could both enter that November 18th game ranked in or near the top #10.
If the winner of that game, which will likely be ranked in the top 10, goes on an wins the AAC Championship game and finishes the season undefeated.....will they have a shot at the CFB Playoff? |
USF lost today Not a fan, but I just wanted to see what would happen if they remained unbeaten along with UCF, then squared off as top 10 or top 12 teams.... |

will not be surprised if the Big 12, PAC 12 and one of the ACC/Big 10 get left out this year.....
Alabama
Georgia
Notre Dame
ACC/Big 10
I actually hope this happens.....it would likely spark playoff expansion pretty quickly! |

There is, Matt Campbell is a hell of a good football coach. Team may not have the best athletes on the field, but will be the most sound fundamentally on the field. He's (if I had a choice) is who I want in Lincoln next season. |
I have a lot of close friends in Central Florida that 100% agree with you. |
btw, will not be surprised if the Gators currently have the phone number of Scott Frost's agent in the queue |

I've heard reports about UF wanting offense to be fun again. If Frost were to bring the Chip Kelly style to Florida, they would absolutely be having that fun again. He is a perfect fit at Florida with the style of offense he runs. I really hope Florida locks him up before Nebraska can even start looking for a potential replacement. |

CFP rankings come out tonight and I'm sure everyone will lose their mind about where their team is ranked. Most of this will play itself out. My guess...
1. Georgia
2. Alabama
3. ND
4. Clemson
5. Oklahoma
6. Ohio State
I could see 4/5/6 being in any order though. |

I don't think there's anyway Alabama isn't #1. I can see Georgia and ND as 2 and 3. after that, you're right, it's razor thin the margin and anyone can be 4-6. |

I went Georgia #1 based on SOS. Not Bama's fault FSU is garbage, but they are. |

I think it is...if they don't hurt the 'Noles QB that game, FSU probably rebounds from that loss and has a good season. |

Even with that QB FSU is a 4 loss team. Defense is not as elite as thought, and that o-line is horrendous. I really feel bad for their QB's. They seem to be running for their life any time I have watched FSU play.
I did nail that top 6. I wish they would release the poll 1 or 2 weeks later. |

not a ND fan....or a SEC fan....but I am hoping for the final to be....
1. Alabama
2. Notre Dame
3. Georgia
4. Oklahoma
then Alabama vs. Georgia in Championship
my thinking is leaving out 3 P5 conferences, a Semi-Final rematch of regular season game (Georgia-ND), an all SEC Championship Game, and finally a rematch of a game we just witnessed a few weeks prior would cause the most chaos and motivation for playoff expansion to 6 or 8. |

I sure don't want to see an SEC rematch for the national championship. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from that Alabama-LSU rematch in the BCS championship game. |

per my plan, that is the point....nobody would want to see that game....again (outside of those two schools fan bases). I want a world where the P5 conference champs get in, as well as real access for the schools outside those conferences. |

Good call on that Georgia pick. If both UGA and 'Bama go undefeated to the championship game, it'll be really interesting to see what will happen to the loser of that game. |

As of now if UGA goes into SEC Championship game ranked #1 and Alabama is #2.....If Alabama wins, I think UGA would fall to #3, or possibly #4. In contrast, If UGA wins game under same circumstances, I think Alabama may fall to #5.....their resume is simply not as strong, and it would give the committee wiggle room to not have two SEC teams in the playoffs. |

I think they would if they went into game and lose at #2 and ND, Clemson and Oklahoma win out.....all 3 would be one loss teams with stronger schedules. |

They stifled Josh Adams to 22 yards that's impressive and ND still won.
But I hope he's healthy for next week.
They can't play like this the next three weeks if they want to make the playoffs.
I can't believe Ohio State lost like that I'm glad but still.
I wonder how Urban will exit Ohio State... |

Wasn't the reason why they didn't go to playoffs because they didn't want these "student-athletes" to miss more time away from school? Don't hold your breath for playoff expansion, getting them to go to a 4 team playoff was hard enough. |

it's one week....shave off an early season game against a FCS school or Kent State. |
