I honestly feel like we'll be right back in the WS next year. But, the Indians probably did too, so...

But, you know what, there will be a new day, and, eventually, a new year, and when the upcoming winter gives way to spring, ooh, rest assured, once again, it will be time for Dodger baseball. So, this is Vin Scully wishing you a pleasant good afternoon, wherever you may be.

Rangers were able to make it back to the WS the following year. LOL.

So did the Royals.

Dodger fans probably don't want to hear his name and I can't imagine how he would be welcomed in the clubhouse.

A lot of good that did the Rangers. At least the Royals got one improbable title before going into the crapper.

So what moves do you think we'll make this offseason? I think this series exposed some holes in our lineup we can fill in...

Moustakas and Arrieta would be my guess. Yu can take a walk.

Winning one and living off that championship would be an upgrade....

Glad we'll get Toles back. I think we should probably cut ties with Morrow. I'm highly skeptical he'll be able to duplicate his performance.

I think the whole roster minus Darvish deserves another chance to make a run. I really like everyone on this current team.

He has great stuff. I would not cut him loose so fast.

I like Morrow, but bullpens pieces are so fickle. Hopefully there's a team friendly deal to be worked out.

You think Stanton will be available this winter or is Jeter and co keeping him?

I was not a big fan of the Dodgers taking on so much salary years ago in the Adrian Gonzalez trade, but I'm starting to wonder if the Dodgers would have been better served to trust... the process, i.e. tank until the young guns are developed for the show.

Despite the big payroll, the Dodgers front office have made some good low-cost moves, but a lot of terrible high-cost moves and that cost them a chance to even look at a Verlander trade that was the perfect scenario for the Dodgers. They still have dead money on the books and are inching closer to that luxury tax repeater penalty the team wants to avoid.

I don't think the team will be very active at all in the offseason and they will have a bunch of holes to fill. Turner is not getting any younger either and his injury really hampered his effectiveness in the World Series. They don't have anyone of real value in the minors to replace him at third.

You look at the competition in comparison and it's gonna get even more competitive just to be able to reach the playoffs. Despite what DMR thinks about the Dodgers fans regarding his cubs, Chicago has some decisions to make as well and they don't have the prospect depth from before, but they've got a lot of very good young bats. The formula as Houston has shown is to have as dangerous a lineup 1-9 that you can get and just have enough pitching to push you over. St. Louis can bounce right back into contention and they have a bunch of intriguing players on their team. The NL West will be much more competitive as well.

I just feel that a few players played greatly over their heads this season but they could not sustain it for the long haul and that led to the sputtering we saw tonight. It's gonna be a real rough offseason for the Dodgers as there are very few opportunities for them to upgrade.

Still strong pitching and defense. I think Taylor showed he's the real deal. Bellinger...honestly, he's never played this much ball. Will only get better and has shown he can make adjustments. I'm nervous about Turner, but I still think we are the class of the NL. Cubbies are right there, but if I am a Cubs fan, I'm concerned about all pitching beyond Hendricks.

My dream is that they make a Yankees run like the late 90's early 2000's. This loss is going to harden them for the future and Roberts is going to get better he still lacks the wisdom of a Tony LaRussa or Panetta.
