This is a must win game, can’t drop games like this if we want a chance at the playoffs.

Hmm.

I think when, or if, Lonzo ever plays against D'Aaron Fox, that will be lit too.

who cares --- Go Lakers

Which is why I said go Lakers?

It's not the Lakers that worry me, but the ridiculous agenda driven drivel that may pollute the site tonight.

If he sucks and we win, things will be just fine for us. If he plays well and we win, things will be fine. So basically it just comes down to us winning this damn game

4-5 versus 3-6...means a lot for a young team, even early in the season, especially after last night's heartbreaker.

Right? Them DLo/nets flag bearers
Go Lakers!

Even if I'm a DLO fan, I'm not in favor of trashing the Lakers or favoring him over the Lakers. I understand folks not liking what happened (including me) but what's done is done. I just don't like it when folks are transparently agenda driven in analyzing how he's doing as a Net. That just offends my basketball sensibilities.

I think it will be more hyped outside of Laker Land TBH. Doubt most fans of the team are threatened too much by Fox (at least I'm not), as well as Lonzo, of course. It's a media-fueled "rivalry" and Fox has fed into it, too. Kind of pathetic actually - he's a solid young player in his own right, but is sort of forgettable among this amazing crop of rookies. He needs Lonzo to get attention basically.

Like Lavar said though, it gets him attention that would otherwise not be there (see Beverly, Patrick).

We'll just have to call up Caruso from the G League for that game, so he can put his son Fox back in his place

As far as the actual game, the only thing I'm worried about is how much energy we have left in the tank after last night. On paper, this should be a relatively easy win. They don't have the bigs to seriously challenge us around the basket, which has been one of our weaknesses so far this season (Clippers, Pels, Nurkic last night) and we should be able to kill them in transition with their trash D. But again, I don't know how much running we'll be doing with the late back-to-back. This would be a great game for Lopez to continue what he started last night on offense - Moz will have trouble keeping up with him out on the perimeter and their other bigs (not sure if Jarrett Allen is out due to injury) are undersized so we should be able to exploit that with Brolo in the post.

I think we come out of the gates lethargic, though...

No one talking about a Moz-revenge game of 40 points, 25 rebounds, 2 fatalities KBG-style?

I appreciate the effort, but you must realize the irony of starting off this game thread with a page and a half of banter about DLO. By doing so you've taken the first steps to leading this game thread towards what you hoped to avoid in the first place.

Let's just enjoy the game whatever happens.

I hope Randle and Clarkson play well tonight. I would hope to flip them to Brooklyn for Booker and Harris.

I hope Deng starts and scores 27 so we can dump him to Brooklyn too.

Starting the season 4-5 would be amazing considering the different rotations and guys not playing in there normal role, but if we lose and go 3-6 that’s a major step back in our progress....

Especially since they should be 6-2 right now

Despite the loss yesterday, Lakers played well and they need to carry that over. Hopefully we can play like yesterday + Lonzo being more engaged offensively.

I was/am a big D'Lo fan but today is an absolute must win. Lakers cannot let him come back and rub it in our faces..he can have 50 for all I care --- JUST GET THE WIN!
