Gasol and Conley are going to be a test for Lopez and Lonzo, and Gasol's interior defense will be something this Lakers team hasn't dealt with much during the regular season thus far.
On the other end, Kuzma will be dealing with Jarell Martin whom is 6'10 239 so a nice test against legit height and good size at the 4 position. We should get some answers as to how he does bodying up against forwards the same size as him.
Ingram will have James Ennis III on him. Should be a good battle there.
Main story of the night will be Conley defending Lonzo and Gasol defending Lopez.
Matchup nightmare for the Lakers if they get locked into the Grizzlies half court game as they've made a season out of it so far, stopping teams that want to run and making them play a slower pace as they did with the Clippers the previous night.
"Previous Night" can be a factor for us, because we're getting the Grizzlies on a back to back.
The Grizzlies also have a bench that can matchup against ours. Brendan Wright has been playing very well off the bench at the 4/5 and will be a good matchup vs Randle. Tyreke Evans can match what JC can do off the bench as well and they also have Mario Chalmers and Chandler Parsons coming off the bench.
So again, should be a tough game for us.
The benefit they aren't a great three point shooting team and their offense isn't really explosive. The bad side of that is, we're not that great a three point shooting team either and our offense isn't really the cats pajamas as well...
So again, this is looking like our hardest matchup of the year thus far. If we can get out to a fast start and push out an early lead that they have to play from behind on we could have a chance, but we have to punch early and can't afford a slow start. Playing the catch-up game with Memphis is a nightmare, so we want to avoid that. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Win it in honour of NPZ's 10th anniversary on LG!!1
11/5/07 - 11/5/17
For a lil context, 11/5/07 was a few days after Phil yelled at Mike D'Antoni to STF down and shut up! Remember that, paisans? Mike got all irate at Phil calling a timeout in the waning moments of a blowout and stormed to midcourt to curse at Phil. Phil said, "What's wrong with you?! STFD!" That was the short period of time where Big Drew was playing like a stud. He was at the perfect weight and finally seemed to have figured out how to be a banger in the paint and how to use his length. On 1/13/08 vs the same Grizz, he landed on Lamar's untimely foot and that was that.
As an aside: Player zealot was a term coined by the great Sky earlier that night. I think he meant it as a nice way of telling the also great JD that he was too passionate a Kobe fan to agree with a critique he was making. And...as everyone knows (breathes on apple and shines it on shoulder), NPZ is NO fanboy, cmon! Sky was one of the all time great posters. Miss reading him and wolfpack going at it. Classic back and forths, usually divergent opinions, but both gents always presented their cases with precision and thought. Sky was always erudite and exuded gravitas as a hoops mind. Wonder where the lad is these days. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

Mhmm, whatever you say! Miss reading posts from Sky, wolfpack, and other posters like THE_SHOES and Just-Ming (has anyone figured out why he always deleted his posts?!). One of the reasons I joined LG is because of all the awesome posters who continue to bless this forum!

Two-game winstreak on the line! Memphis playing on back-to-back. Hopefully, we'll run them out of the building just like we did against Detroit. Lets go, boys!!
Gasol and Conley are going to be a test for Lopez and Lonzo, and Gasol's interior defense will be something this Lakers team hasn't dealt with much during the regular season thus far.
Are either of them playing tonight? They were both listed as questionable yesterday and they both played so I could see them resting on a back to back.
It’s the same city so that makes it easier on the grizzlies, but it’s still a back to back so lakers once again have to run and push the pace especially if Conley and Gasol are hurting.

Andrew Bogut is out tonight with back tightness. Thomas Bryant will be available, as the Lakers have recalled him from @SouthBayLakers.
