I'm feeling a Midnight Express situation here.
Should make an interesting plot line for their reality show. |

Apparently it was at a Louis Vitton store in the hotel they were staying at.
I guess he got that bag, then they got that Ball. |

His mom is with them on the trip too. After all she went through, great job ruining her trip! Luckily, Lonzo isn't immature like his brothers. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

Hey, Winona Ryder bounced back from shoplifting 20 years later. LiAngelo will be fine. Not like he might have ever needed to seek employment in China or another country that frequently competes against China at any point in his future. |

Middle brother. Probably not gonna make it into the NBA. Stealing in a Communist country where lawyers are treated as enemy of the state....good luck kid. |

Lots of jokes in here but this is a serious matter. The Chinese do not mess around. They're not North Korea bad but this is a huge issue. They will want to thrown the book at these kids.
Cannot believe anybody would be so stupid especially someone who drives a Ferrari, has a full ride to UCLA, a brother in the NBA, and a family owned apparel line.
Heard LaVar is holding a press conference tomorrow. He better be very careful not to make matters worse.
Unfortunately, this involves one of our players too. |

The Chinese government will probably take majority ownership of BBB in exchange for his release....there goes Lavar's dreams of being a billionaire. |

Exactly. People don't understand that when you go to foreign countries you have to play by their rules. All that slap on the wrist crap does not work. Some countries will chop your hand off for stealing, and needless to say the crime rate is very low in places like that. |

Let's see, I'm in China, and if they're willing to put a huge nationalist like Jackie Chan's son in jail for possession of MJ, then they will have no problem doing the same to three idiot UCLA players. The problem is that the sentence is between 3 and 10 years in the clink. Now, my guess is that they will be given some kind of deal, but it won't be pleasant because they can't be seen as being soft on foreigners. That could mean a year in prison and likely the end of those students' basketball and college careers. |

now you know it's serious...
"LaVar is in China with the team and scheduled a press conference in Shanghai at one point Wednesday before canceling it." |

When I first heard this story I laughed and thought it was really stupid of them, but that it’d end up being a non-issue..
But as others have said, this could end up being pretty serious. 3-10 years in jail? Sheesh...
Can’t help but think there’s more to this story though. |

the best thing Lavar can do is shut his mouth....the less media attention on the situation, the better.....China will not want to appear soft an American, especially one that is a member of a well known family.
