Any word on the Knicks SF we're supposedly interested in, Kuzminskas? He'll help stretch the floor, but not sure about his defense.

It is unbelievable that Phil wants Porzingis to be traded. But Knicks should be still thankful to Phil for drafting Porzingis.

So, since Draymond is probably the second best player from the 2012 draft, does that mean everyone from pick 2 through 34 (including the Warriors GM, who picked Ezeli several slots higher) committed a firing offense?

If you're not allowed to make draft mistakes, there would be ZERO front offices in the NBA because they'd all be fired.

Mike (@) LG been saying Porzingis is overrated. I knew the dude had the potential from the start.

Yup. Edge to Towns still but if Porz keeps this up? Wooo. These guys are going to go back n forth for years being the "that guy" from that draft.

Ironically, if we didn't have "luck" and not jumped 2 positions in the draft in 2015, Porzingis would have been a Laker.
We had the 4th worst record. Minny-KAT, NY-Okafor, Philly- Russel and Lakers -Porj with the afferent "boo". So much for the "luck".

To be fair as a huge hater of Mitch the GM he was intrigued by porzingis but then Scott and coaches didn’t like him if I remember correctly

Add Ayton to that mix this summer.

People keep taking about this being a guards league but that is something of this current generation. Next gen is starting to be dominated by huge wings/forwards (Giannis, Simmons, Ingram, etc) and bigs with elite skills in passing, shooting, post moves, etc.

Few months ago I thought DLO was on par with KP and the pick success was still TBD. KP has clearly surpassed everyone including Towns.

Disagree but it is frustrating to know that Mitch and Jim and scouting were apparently very high on him but were worries about blowback from fans if he busted.

I will wait until he finishes a season to decide. Right now his nickname is “when healthy”.

You're talking about Embiid or Porzingis?

He's played a total of 5 less games than D'lo so I'm sure you're using that same moniker for D'lo too right...?

I agree that this is trending towards a bigs league. When you think about it, it makes perfect sense, too. The big guys who are dominating the league all have guard skills to various extents: think Boogie, AD, Giannis, Simmons, Jokic, Towns, Porzingis, Embiid. It just took time for them to show up, because a future NBA big man born in 1988 probably still grew up idolizing Shaq. Fast forward 3-6 years, and these guys mostly didn't watch Shaq in his prime (I'm in that age range so I know well). So these guys are modeling their games after KD, Kobe, LeBron, etc., and that batch of skilled big men is hitting the league right now.

Guys like Alex Len and Jahlil Okafor are largely wastes of lottery picks at this point.

Exactly... bigs now a days have guard skills which has completely inverted the way teams can scheme.

Hence one of the reasons why I want Cousins so bad... the man can put up 28/12 like it's nothing and does so while shooting from 3, pushing the tempo, playing physical, mid range, post ups, making the right passes, and being an underrated post defender.
