|

He's averaging 32, 10 and 5 so far this season, and he's only 22. Even more, he's 6-11, but he plays like he's 6-6 or 6-7 and has a multitude of skills. I'm watching him play vs the Spurs right now and his play is mesmerizing. Once Lebron starts to fade do you guys think he'll become the best player in the NBA and maybe the best player of the next decade (2020s)? Or is this start a fluke and he'll simply be a really good but not great player? _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Him or Ben Simmons. If Ben can develop a reliable jumper, definitely him. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

Would be great to see. Feel good story that doesn't feel forced onto us by media but rather by solid play. |

Gonna be Ben Simmons.
Hard to believe the next face will be a Buck. |

+1
Plus it would involve a franchise that hasn't done anything in decades. |

I'm sure many didn't think that about a Cav(LeBron), Warrior(Curry), Thunder(Durant) until it happened.
You don't need to be in a big market to be a star anymore.
They've had great players before
Oscar Robinson and Kareem come to mind. |

The media is picking up on Giannis, so I’d say yes. I watched a lot of the game last night against the Spurs. He was a lot of on-court charisma. He and Simmons could be the next wave. |

ESPN put up an article saying how his persona as a superstar will be more about substance and dedication than being a passive aggressive one-man corporate shill like you-know-who.

Durant still helped himself by going to Golden State though. He looks even better as a Warrior and now people can’t criticize him for not winning.
The Bucks are 6-6 right now. That record stinks after all he has done. It’s not unheard of though; Kobe and Lebron put up huge numbers for teams that didn’t win much. Westbrook did it last season. |

The only thing about him missing is his outside shot. In today's league, I don't know if you can be the best player in the league without a good shot from outside and the ability to keep shooting it. |

He'll need to be at least as good of an outside shooter as current LeBron to have a chance, IMO. |

I don't know about that. If you can lead the league in scoring while averaging about 60% from the field, and also averaging about 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks, I think you can get by without a reliable three point shot. |

That was Lebron v.1, which was pretty damn good. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I think in this day and age a foreigner being the face of the NBA can work.
Even in the mid 90s Hakeem, a Nigerian, was the face of the NBA when Jordan was playing baseball. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

Because he gets all his points dunking on dudes. I think he will bring out the return of the big man
Teams will need to protect the paint |

I actually think there might be a bit of an appeal in that, too. Actually when you think about it, some of the best players of the next generation are non American born.
Giannis - Greece
Porzingis - Latvia
Simmons - Aussie (American dad but still)
Embiid - Cameroon
But ya still...you need an All American there. Those 4 will likely be the best players in the league for the unforseeable future and theyre all international. Im guessing thats a good thing and the NBA will know how to market that. |

Yes, the Greek Freak will be the new face of the NBA. As long as he keeps up with the tremendous dunks and stats.
Lebron will fade away gently, Westbrook is annoying, Kawhi is too shy, Kyrie is a no go, and there is hardly any other spectacular show star. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------
