More bad optics, as Richard Sherman is likely out for the year with a torn Achilles, if his self-diagnosis proves to be correct. Pro football players should not be playing two football games in five days. It's wholly unfair. And it's also saturated the NFL's product. Sunday football doesn't mean quite as much now to casual fans. They had a great set-up before: wait all week for Sunday, and then one final game on Monday night to watch. Now you're only having two days in a row without games, and it just feels less important.
Oh, and it's just a joy to watch Drew Stanton play quarterback. |

I agree. And it messes up fantasy. I got Jimmy Graham off the waivers and just barely started him about 10 min before the game. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Congrats on that, but how is Graham available? What is that, a 4-team league? |

Guy had Gronk coming off bye so he already had his TE starter set. Needed RB's after losing Elliott and Forte, Ajayi now having a bye after trade, added Elijah McGuire. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Wow, it's a surprise he couldn't find a trade before just outright dropping a clear-cut TE1, when the TE position is terrible this season. |

Martellus Bennett is getting killed on twitter by current and former Packers.
After Martellus Bennett wanted to have basically season ending surgery one day later is good enough to finish the seasons with the pats.
The dude quit on the packers and I'm happy to see that guy off the team |

What a shame. Between him and Vontae Davis, I'm wondering if "season ending" surgery is the newest form of ducking playing for a non-contender these days. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

RIP Chargers season.
Blocked field goal still goes thru. Jags win.
BTW, the Chargers might want to find a new QB soon. |

That was one of the most pathetic losses I’ve ever seen by the Chargers..
Bortles gave them the game not once, but TWICE. |

Seems like both teams didn't want to win....dumb penalties by the Jags on their end while the Chargers had an opportunity to win the game in regulation but did nothing to close it out. |

How the F did they lose that game? When I switched they had 3pt lead and possession with less than 2 min. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

They got the ball back, but didn't do anything but run the ball where they couldn't get a 1st down. Jags got the ball back and got the FG to tie the game and subsequently won the coin toss in OT and were able to score. |

The routine Thursday game has definitely diminished the product in the sense that a lot off the novelty is gone now. Back in the day, Thanksgiving NFL football was a real treat. And then you had the occasional late season game thrown in on a Thursday and there was the excitement of that - a midweek NFL game. It didn't even matter who was playing, I was watching.
Now I practically have forgotten there is Thursday night football at all. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Thursday games should only be IMO
Season opener
Thanksgiving.
Beyond that is pointless.
The Falcons beat the Cowboys maybe Zeke is MVP |

I think a couple of games in mid an late December makes a good deal of sense now that the season stretches so late into January now - that's if there are no other Thursday games other than those mentioned. And now with the bye-weeks, you could find a way to do 6 Thursday games over the season without a team having a short turn around. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Chargers always find coaches who coach scared.
You can't be afraid to fail, playing it "safe" doesn't work in the NFL.
I hope Spanos enjoyed it, I know I did. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I don't think Lynn is a good in-game coach when it comes to making decisions, but as much as I'd like to blame him, I mean, look, the Chargers have been losing close games like this for years. |

Been a Chargers fan since about '99. It doesn't hurt anymore. At this point if it's close then I start thinking of creative ways they'll lose the game. They've invented new ways more times than I can remember. They've made it an art form. I just laugh and smh when the game is finally over. The one constant amid all their failures is the ownership. The Spanos family are a joke. |

Not a coincidence that the Broncos D has taken a nosedive this year while the Rams fortunes have turned around. |
