I don’t mind pg/boogie but you know there is a 0% chance magic turns downs LBJ if he wants to join the Lakers.
And he shouldn't turn him down either, that would be lunacy.
Sorry. Anyone who turns down Lebron at this point in time shouldn't make decisions for a front office.
And anyone who thinks we will have the choice to turn down Lebron in favor of other FAs needs to take a huge step towards reality. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
Everyone here are merely making predictions. We’ll see who’s right on August 1st. Until then, depending on what actually transpires, let people dig their own graves.
What should get people excited is that this isn’t the first time he’s spoken highly of something involving the Lakers, dude is all out on LA right now and he’s showing his love for the Lakers like never before.
PG next year, Klay the year after. I think Klay would be an MVP candidate playing with Lonzo.
Don't you think it's easier to poach a player via FA who is on a deteriorating/dysfunctional team as opposed to one who may be coming off a 3rd consecutive championship?
that is the.....uh, "most interesting" part of that post that caused you to respond?
That was Step 2 of the argument.
I just don't agree with Step 1 (Klay leaving a possible 4 championships in 5 years Warriors team). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Hopefully by the end of the year, the Lakers will know who the "core" 4 guys are on the team. So that if we can add 2 guys in the summer, we'll have 6 "core" guys and about 6 plug and play guys to surround them with.

I do not see Lacob paying 3 players North of 40. They will already be on the hook for over 120 for 6 players (assuming KD gets his 40 plus) in 2 years (not counting Klay). Everyone thinks this is Monopoly money. Something is going to have to give.

We don't need Klay because we have Kuzma!
While we don't need Klay he would be a really nice upgrade over KCP. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss

Lonzo needs shooters around him as much as possible but I don't think Klay has ANY desire to leave GS. He's going to get paid and win 4-6 rings and be this generation's showtime.
LeBron just can't stop talking about Phil Jackson, can he? Seems like he's taking a shot at him every chance he gets and he's had fun with that for the last couple of days in New York.
And I can't shake the feeling that even though Jeannie and Phil split up this is not going to go well with the Laker organization. And with Jeanie in particular. Phil might have had his beef with a couple of people in this league, but LeBron is doing his best right now to be a total dick about the whole situation.
Exceptional player, but just a huge (bleep) as well. Not really sure I want him on the team the way he's taking control of every franchise he's went to and left it in ashes.
Does 76er have capspace for 2 max players also next year? Seems like Lebron can join that team next year and be title contenders, especially if redick takes a little less.

I think they only have space for one max player. But they will offer Embiid and the ROY. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
If they extend Covington, won't that eat into their cap space? (IIRC they are working on an in-season extension for him). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Don't forget TV money and this new 'logo' money... it's 1 logo now but might be 5 or 10 in couple years. NBA is rolling in dough
