This is a fun hot take thread. But like every joke, there is an ounce of truth in it.

Simmons is an oversized, over-athletic, dominating Point (of attack). Embiid is a multi-skilled, triple-threat, high efficiency big able to set screens like Marc Gasol and run up the floor better than a C like Jokic.

Embiid was compared to Hakeem coming out of college. Would have probably gone #1 if not for the injury.

watching those two against the clippers today was something. I dunno how Lakers are going to stop Embiid, let alone Embiid AND Simmons.

That was just insane. Embiid was dominant and Simmons was just dunking everything. This team will be unstoppable.

For 30 - 50 games a season.

I think Simmons is Magic's heir.

Embiid, so much of it is dependent on his health. Could sadly be a shortened career.

He is. Went from loveable big guy to a jerk. He'll cross the line soon enough.

Simmons is good but he is no LeBron. Can anyome ever be?
At this point Simmons is a more dominant Odom with scoring which is a devastating player...but still a few notches below LeBron.

Randle can slow down simmons. because he's a strong guy thats 6'9 that is also very quick laterally. now will the refs allow it or will they have Ju in foul trouble? we shall see.

Ingram will probably get bullied guarding simmons.

Lopez can some what defend embiid in the paint. he wont stop his moves from outside but thats ok. just dont let him get the inside the paint stuff.

I knew someone was gonna say that but no, thats not LeBron LeBron is still way above that. To put it in simple terms, stat wise LeBron is a 30 ppg player, the player I described, Odom with scoring, my projection for Simmons is a 22-24 ppg player. Thats a big difference. Might not seem like much but for comparison sake its difference between Giannis this year and Giannis last year. Thats a substantial difference.
Being all things that LeBron is, thats all time top 5 level. Difficult level to reach.

I hope so. Bogut has actual bully chops and has little to lose. Embiid is all show and a Mr. Glass in his own right.

I have to say, since they have not made it to the finals.
They are more like Blake G. and D Howard.

It is the footwork, Embiid had the best since Hakeem. If he gets that back he will dominate.

Honestly couldn't ask for a much better duo to build around aside from health problems. Kind of amazing that even with this year's #1 pick doing nothing so far and the #3 pick from a couple years ago being useless, they look very well set up for now and the future. Still, I thought the Magic with Shaq and Penny were going to own the league for over a decade and later thought the Roy/Oden/Aldridge Blazers would win titles someday, so there are definitely ways for future dynasties to be derailed.

Embiid is more like the modern era Greg Oden.

Watching Embid dominate the post and shoot 3s just makes me wonder what Bynum could have been if his head and health were in it.

Simmons is the modern day Billy Owens (the young version).

Embiid reminds more of Zo Morning, for his arrogance.
