Per Luke, starting lineup still up in the air. Deng for PF?

starting Deng, especially at PF would be kinda weird since Nance started the last few games next to Lopez and Deng hasn't even played. Clarkson should start until what's his name comes back (KCP - here for about a year for a cup of coffee and then moving on). But Luke is fascinated by his "units" so he's probably afraid of upsetting the balance or something and will actually start Deng

Don't we have to cut a few more guys? Do we have to do it before tonight's game?

Preseason performance is meaningless for vets. It's probably meaningless in general, but particularly for players with an established track record, and for a team missing their only NBA quality point guard throughout. I think he's right to base very little off it.

No, we are at 15 players plus Caruso as a 2 way.

with Hayward down, maybe we should showcase Deng and pray Boston gets desperate enough to swing a deal?

I'm all for kicking a team while they're down.

Brad Stevans, coaching a top EC team, starts a rookie and a 2nd year player in heavy minutes.

Luke: "Kuzma starting? Pfff, 10% chance of happening. Starting Deng tho sounds pretty good to me."

Jaylen Brown looking like he may have been worth the 2nd pick

Kuzma isn’t in the same zip code as Tatum.

He may not be on the same street, but he's def in the same zip code. Maybe even one street down.

I like Kuzma and am glad that we drafted him, but Tatum is a top lottery pick for a reason. If we had drafted him I would want him starting.

he does appear to have a chance on being special....I thought he was the 3rd best prospect going into the draft.....but becoming the best player from the draft is within his potential.

More signals that Randle will start the season off the bench

Well, we've had good luck with ball-handling, double-digit rebounders coming off the bench before...

I wonder if Maginka wouldn't mind if, while Luke plays Deng more to up his trade value, he also plays Randle off the bench to lower his FA signing price.

I'm going to step out on a limb and say they aren't too concerned about that last part.

I didn't see the separation between he and Fultz that warranted our pick to the Celtics. Danny Ainge hoodwinked the Sixers.

If we take Tatum at #2, it may have affected who we wanted at 27. Ingram, Tatum, Julius, Kyle, etc. Too many forwards. If Lonzo is the truth, then we knocked it out the park with Kyle at #27.
