Accusations do not equal jail time for anyone, even us shlubs.

Not in all of the cases. Even with evidence, due process doesn't always result in jail time.

To sum up the tax plan:

All those earning under $75K make out worse.
All those earning over $100K make out better.
Hardest hit: those making $10-20K
Biggest Winners: those making $1M and up

But Orrin Hatch was outraged when Sherrod Brown said this was a tax plan that benefited the rich. Hatch told him to stop spreading that evil hateful rhetoric in front of him.

A Trump Judicial Nominee Appears To Have Written About Politics On A Sports Website And Didn't Disclose It

Quote:
One of President Donald Trump's federal court nominees appears to have written posts for years on a University of Alabama sports fan website — including posts about gun control and immigration — and didn't disclose the writings on his Senate questionnaire.

Quote:
After the Sandy Hook mass shooting, a commenter on a University of Alabama sports fan message board who later identified himself as Brett Talley wrote, "My solution would be to stop being a society of pansies and man up."

Right and their answer to why tax breaks for individuals expires is that they "hope" future representatives will pass another tax bill. But of course the Corporate ones are permanent and of course there's a carve out for private jet owners, golf course owners and real estate moguls. I wonder why?

No one is serving jail time for a picture like the one Franken had taken. Every college Frat boy has a picture like that, being "tea-bagged" or having some penis drawn on them as they slept.

Every military plane drawing dicks in the sky is one that is not dropping bombs on the ground.

Nor are they for even the worst allegation against Franken. No one, "schlub" or not, goes to jail for forcibly kissing a woman. That's not to argue against they proposition they should. It's just not what happens.

I don't think so. If he truly did sexually assault someone..he falls in the franken camp to me. which is go to jail.

Clinton and Moore should go away forever for raping and pedophilia.

To me, severity of the crime must be looked at.
Striking someone is different than killing someone.

Franken and Trump in the same camp? This is beyond stupid.

http://time.com/5017111/gop-tax-plan-teacher-tax-credit/

seriously, how low can these people go

'Morally Bankrupt.' The GOP Tax Bill Repeals a Credit for Teachers Who Buy School Supplies

Educators who spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pocket to buy school supplies would no longer be eligible for a tax deduction under the GOP tax reform bill, and the proposal is drawing fierce criticism from teachers’ advocates.

Under current law, teachers are eligible for a tax deduction of up to $250 for money spent on classroom supplies.

“Will a teacher in my district who buys pens, pencils, paper for his students be able to deduct these costs from his tax returns under this plan?” Washington Rep. Suzan DelBene asked on Monday, at a markup hearing for the proposed GOP tax bill, which she described as “morally bankrupt.”

Thomas Barthold, chief of staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation, confirmed that the tax plan would repeal the deduction for teacher expenses. The bill has drawn criticism from Democrats and teachers’ associations, who argue it will further burden teachers who already spend a significant amount of their own money on their classrooms.

Only if women of the left as a group (and I mean a large group including all sectors) are able to clearly have a ‘line’ that can differentiate between Franken and Moore... otherwise the right as Stone said will be successful at finding these ‘equivalencies’ and the left would have no choice but to succumb/rid of the perpetrating male because it’s the right thing to do (while the GOP candidates knows that sexual assault is not a deal breaker for the right)

It’s a dirty play but unfortunately we have to go thru it to advance this woman revolution, it’s time

Giving Franken a pass on this for the sake of our team and the "greater good" is precisely how we got this culture in the first place.

Exactly. As I said before, I totally get the attraction of the strategic advantages of fighting fire with fire. But upon reflection, it becomes clear that it simply feeds a never ending cycle that perpetuates unacceptable behavior. The only thing that is going to set things back towards civility and propriety is to uphold those standards without fail and bias.

I am not a fan of the congress being so quick to use our tax dollars to fund their "investigations" for things like sexual harassment or incidents of rouge behavior.

To me, Franken calling for a "full investigation" (at our cost of course) is more offensive than his sophomoric behavior with Leanne Tweeden.

How about instead of worrying about whether or not Franken behaved inappropriately or getting involved in ridiculous things having to do with professional sports instead our elected officials actually did what we pay them to do?

A society that makes probably trillions off of SEX and Beauty (bleep) is bringing out pitchforks for what Tweeden already accepted his apology for?

If this man had a history of this then gone

This incident is very inappropriate.. they both remember different dressing room stories.. apologies have been accepted.. etc

Seems like some weird deep level of desire to punish sexual behavior?

Just read a post I think truly could make waves if done correctly

Impeach Clarence Thomas....
