Pre-Phil Jackson Shaq wasn't good at controlling his impulses. He used to punk guys pretty bad and get ejected from games because he couldn't harness his anger. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers
Don't blame Shaq. Dudz would grope and hold like that all the time, even after the score was made. I wouldn't like that if I were playing against him. He was a real space invader, which helped him become a niche rebounder and bump 'n bang defender on the block. Though there were much worse perps, Duds wasn't a stranger to hack fouls. Shaq got a thumb ligament torn on one of those by Matt Geiger in his last year at ORL iirc. Dudley reminds me of Jack Haley, Greg Kite, Ostertag/Foster, a more muted Laimbeer maybe, though Bill is at his own level. Annoying players even to watch, and yes, the big white lummox thing has something to do with it. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

Here. A month later. But ay, sticking up for Big Shot Bob. Gave Bimbo whiplash. That dude was an angry cuss, Bimbo. Remember him starting a pretty decent fight with Juwan Howard around that time.

Was at that game. That was where I learned the joy of heckling opposing fans. Knicks fans were heavily represented at that game, and they were quite vocal and very annoying. The game itself got messy. Dennis Rodman successfully baited Kurt Thomas into getting ejected. The Shaq dunk was probably retaliation for Chris Dudley dealing Shaq a couple of dangerous flagrant fouls in transition that sent Shaq barrelling into the cameras and the the AA rows behind the hoop at the Rose Garden during the '97 playoffs. These were legitimately flagrant fouls, not the "flagrant" fouls that are called in today's lace curtain, bowtie-clad, social media debutant, post-shark nu-NBA. Shaq waited over a year to dish out his bumpkin justice. _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."

DUD Lee really lives up to his name in that one...LOL
He is lucky Shaq didn't try to rope and brand him after that take down....! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

Yeah, mayne. I cherish the full game DVD you sent me. This clip didn't exist online in English/not part of a bull (bleep), grainy highlight vid set to muzak/not buried in a cyrillic file storage site until you uploaded it to YT.
That game was pure fun. Sat next to the Lakers band for their pregame routine for the first time. I was never as geeked for a Lakers season as I was after that win. _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."

And then years later Chris Dudley ran for the governor of Oregon and barely lost by one percent. He would have banned Shaq from ever entering the rose garden.
