Dude is adjusting from #1 option on an elite NCAA team to a #4 or #5 guy on a bad team. This just boils down to him boxing his offensive skill set into something narrow so that he can fit in his respective lineups.

He's got better court vision than Jordan Clarkson, no exaggeration. It's just not his role on the team because he's not considered a pure PG and he's still a rookie.

But dude was an elite tertiary NCAA playmaker. Lost? Adjusting. This isn't like Brewer who just forces everything at the hoop. Hart is overthinking.

I personally would like to see Luke take the ball out of Clarkson Hands and let Hart be the distributor.

Same.

I am not disagreeing with you, but I do not ever recall him distributing or showing passing skills @ 'Nova. Did I just miss it? Probably only watched 25% of his games his senior year.

He was the primary slasher. Villanova had plenty of shooters. Mikal Bridges shot 70% 2pt and well over 40% 3pt on just C&S.

Near 20% assist rate.

I don't think Hart has earned that role. He's clearly still in his head. He needs to get down the catch and shoot first, and then move to play maker. Right now, he's too nervous with the ball to be relied on there. Eventually, I see the play making ability too... just not yet.

^I just see a guy who hesitates because he has to retract so much of his game from his Villanova years.

Why does he have to retract it?
It's a shame he got hurt in summer league.
Maybe he could have shown the goods you're speaking about.
Makes me wonder if he plays differently in practice or the g league

Perhaps I'm overstating his defense, but to me that alone warrants more PT.

That’s not an overstatement at all. I’ve seen enough of him in college to add that his current jumpshot percentages are not at all indicative of his actual shooting ability.

He’s a much better shooter than he’s shown, although many here would probably call that the overstatement.

Well, I don't disagree. I mean, the guy has never received more than 4 field goal attempts in any NBA regular season game. Pretty hard to get going as a guard when that's all you get.

And he's 1-14 in his last several games but still shooting a better percentage than Lonzo on the season. Haha. Cut the kid some slack Luke!

He's averaging 13.5 MPG.
How much more do you guys want him to play.
And over who?

He played one time in the past 6-7 games. I think 10-13 MPG is fine. Just not in one game. But every game.

If Hart is getting more minutes, it should be at Brewer's expense. Hart is big enough to play SF.

Brewer really should not be playing. It's that damn streak he has going for most consecutive games played.

Brewer is a disruptor and has been playing well last few games.

Brewer is playing well but we are not resigning him next year. If the FO is going to invest in Hart, which I don't care one way or the other, then Brewer has to go. If they don't care and want to get more wins, then Brewer will play.

He's definitely more aggressive as a scorer in the G League.

Since day 1 in Summer League he had some really bad misses from 3.. those concerned me and he's still missing badly. Also in his pro-day vid he said he didn't shoot so well..
never was confident he could shoot , but he's a rookie and a lot of them shoot poorly..

He's become a black hole. Just awful offensively. Don't know what it is either. He used to be able to attack the basket.

DX at 4:30 had questions about his shooting, including the hitch in his stroke at the top. I think he's taken that out (not sure though), but there's still an outward release and his off-arm is super stiff. The stroke looks decent but the misses are as bad as it gets, and they have been since Summer League
