They won't trade him he's a cap space punt

That doesn't mean he has a right to score 4 points and not give any effort on D.

So you would like for them to explore trades for Lopez if he doesn't improve.

What are you expecting the offers to be from other teams if he doesn't improve and the Lakers make him available for a trade?

Clarkson and Lopez for Derrick Favors (exp deal) and Joe Johnson + 1st round pick is something that can work.

It doesn't even work as an acceptable trade because Utah would be taking in quite a bit more in salary than they are sending out.

I also have doubts that they would be sending a first round pick to LA.

I doubt that Utah is eager to pair Lopez and Gobert. But I guess trade proposals here don’t need to make sense.

Gobert would actually help Lopez more then our current bigs.

Guys, it's just 2.0

Dude's hobby is to speculate a trade for every Lakers' player.

Yeah because that's what fans are supposed to do when a player doesn't seem to fit or when there might be better players who might fit.

I understand, but he/she should at least suggest trades that would at a minimum get approval on a technical basis from the league office

It isn't that difficult to go to ESPN Trade Machine and take a few moments to come up with an acceptable trade before presenting it here.

I keep hoping that eventually the LG staff will ask him/her for some improvement with their posting, but it hasn't happened so far.

In reality, it's unlikely we'll find a team that would want/need Lopez and be able to bundle together enough expiring salary (which we would want).

Flavors and Johnson for Lopez (without Clarkson) works salary wise, though I don't see why Utah would want him since he wouldn't pair well with Gobert. If you want to get rid of Clarkson, you'd have to take Alec Burks, and I don't see how that deal helps us. I don't see them throwing in a 1st.

What about finding a way to convince Memphis to swap Marc Gasol for Lopez and whatever is needed to balance the value?

easy schedule? no such thing for this team. if we go 4-3 that will be impressive.

If they win out, there's still a chance at 4-3 -- tho that last game on this schedule would need a miracle of sorts. Looks like closeout games and this schedule are about the same kind of easy.

Its memphis. Offer Bogut and Josh Hart and call it a day.
