Nah...he was a stayover from a confused, failing regime.

Agree man. Fire Luke after this season please. Dude is overrated.
Clarkson and Kuzma in and we would have won. |

I'm not one for firing a coach so quickly - we've been there and done that. And hiring someone else is not going to be a quick fix.
Having said that - we all have to acknowledge Luke is learning on the job as well. I just hope he learns from this loss. We're either trying to win - or trying to develop. Ball will have time to get there. So why not be in favor of trying to win first - especially against the clips.
Let's put down the pitch forks and hope these guys improve. I'll let this one go - as he just got Larry back and may have been of his coaching/rotation game. But he's got to do better next time. |

Maybe we can keep playing Lonzo and see if he can break record's as the worst shooter in NBA history. We need some changes. Magic missed on Lonzo. Let's move on. Or another missed season |

Was it the coach who was throwing behind the back and between the legs turn overs? That and missed FT caused us the game. Lonzo needs to sit until he can make 2 consecutive shot (too much to ask?). JC needs to finish the game in his place. _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!!

We obviously don't know how the brass feels about Luke. But, have to keep in mind that Magic and Rob didn't hire him, either. |

Kyle Kuzma had 19 minutes.. you would never see Ben Simmons play only 19 minutes. I understand the BG match up, but still... play the kid at SF if you have to. He's the best scorer on this team |

Hence why Lonzo is untouchable right now. No matter how poor he plays, they spin it. Ingram falls in that category too. Luke knows this. _________________ Let's Go Lakers!!! |

The thing I will think about tonight is that Boston, Golden State, Philly all lost,
meaning with the rise of the Eastern Conference I think it's safe to say that parity is much closer than it has been in the recent past. Sacramento beat the Warriors... Detroit beat Boston... Dallas played the Spurs tough.
On paper December looks bleak... but if we can win a few and get our confidence back, maybe we come out winning five or six. |

Lonzo ball for three?
Deandre rebounds, no one fouls him and instead they wait for Lou to get the ball before fouling?
Leaving Randle in during crunch time with only KCP as an outside threat and leaving Kuzma on the bench?
Subbing in Kuzma while they were playing defense and taking out Randle who has been a decent rim protector in crunch time?
(bleep) LUKE WALTON! |

Ahhhhh - Remember when everyone here wanted Luke?
Roll with what we have - it can always be worse. I just hope he watches film and critiques himself. We have to improve from within first. |

But that to me is exactly why Luke is a problem. A team that comes out for games and goes down quickly, a team that makes stupid plays like that, that misses free throws, that takes ill advised 3 point shots on fast breaks, that seems to have a bunch of me first players is an undisciplined, unprepared team and that starts with the coach. He may be trying hard but it isn't working. Ok he isn't a good x and o coach, but I'd like to see some disciplined basketball. That's my biggest frustration. If you aren't the most talented, you need to be fundamentally sound and we aren't. To be sure that is on the players as well, but show me a sign of improvement. |

This. I think a little on-the-job learning is expected for a young coach like Luke. Because of that, I wouldn't get rid of him so early. I just wish the front office would have put one or two experienced, non-threatening coaches in place to help him along. |

But please.. keep defending Luke. |
This would be equivalent to the 76ers benching Ben Simmons right now relative to the rest of the talent on our team. |
What was that people were saying about "well it doesn't matter if Kuzma starts..its about who finishes."
WELP Kuzma AT LEAST FINISHED THE GAME TECHNICALLY |
it's a bunch of crap
everyone knows that line of thinking makes no sense
if you're one of the best five players on the team you should start AND finish
very few exceptions to that and only on contending teams really |
This. Just to use an extreme example (and I'm not comparing the players here I'm intentionally exaggerating to make a point) the way Luke coaches with
Kuz would be like if he coached the cavs and decided to have Lebron come off the bench and play only 20 minutes
It's so maddening and unfortunately I don't think it will change...brace ourselves for a possible long losing streak here
I know kuz doesn't always make the right play but he has shown himself to be our most well rounded player regardless and our clear cut most complete offensive player. He was shooting very well and made some nice plays but doesn't sniff close to 30 minutes? I just don't get it and I don't get luke and his ridiculous rationales |

Glad to see most of us seem to feel this way.
I'm just stunned he takes a kid playing so well and goes Byron Scott on him
Btw just took a peek at the +\- on starters v bench and it's sickening
Here's an idea luke as to why you start kuz...cuz your coaching tendency is to play your starters more minutes than your bench |

The Kings beat the Warriors on the road. Steph and Durant didn’t play and the warriors are still better than this garbage clippers team. Smh. |

All this (bleep) being said about the Lakers, can we at least acknowledge that the Clippers once again suck, and might not even make the playoffs?
Lakers rule L.A. once again. |
