The Lakers consistently compete on the defensive end and don't get blown out like we did last year. Remember we had a short pre-season and spent most of it on defensive concepts. Once Luke has more time to implement the offense it will improve.
Once the offense comes around we will win some games. I predict that the Lakers will finish strong- no tanking incentive this year. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Or they don't have the catastrophic string of injuries that the then 10-10 Lakers had. Remember at one point we had DLO/Swaggy/nance/Randle/etc. all out with injuries. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Oh yeah, those injuries were hard to forget. Started with DLO and Nance on our big road trip and never recovered.
But last year's team even when healthy did not play well on the defensive end until that 5 game win streak at the of the season- after we shipped out a bunch of no D chuckers and Brewer, Ennis, Zu and Nwaba were getting minutes. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

And we don't? |
They compete and win sometimes with 3-4 starting players out. We have pretty much everyone fit and the players who are efficient doesn't even get deserved minutes. And our coaching staff throws away games due to stupid decisions like against the Clippers. Talent level on Nets with Lin, DLo, RHJ out is not close to what Lakers and Luke has. |
Seriously. Take away Lonzo and JC and see if the Lakers are 8-13. |

We traded one chucker months before that last five games, and dlo and young were still there... _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

That one chucker was the reason we had a lot of those 26 wins too. |

You're really underrating what Ennis could do with 30mpg. |

DLO was one of our better defenders last season as you know. And it did take a while to integrate the new players and mainly the tank needed to do its thing. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Hey, at least it's not as bad as Orlando trading Victor Oladipo (who's looking like a certified All-Star / borderline franchise player right now) for half a season of Serge Ibaka and a bag of potato chips, right? |

Wonder how much Dinwiddie will get in the off season. He's having a breakout season.

Teams like Orlando can't afford to be impatient. Criminal mistake. They are never gonna attract Top FAs and not bad enough to get Top 3 picks like 76ers. Oladipo, Fournier, Gordon, Payton(needs to develop a 3P shot) would have been pretty good core. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

Nets up by 22. Apparently, Jarrett Allen having a nice game on both ends. 4 blocks and made a three. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

He's still under contract next year, no? I imagine they restructure his deal, though. |

Mozgov was DNP. Maybe he will be out of rotation with Allen/Zeller playing like Deng with Lakers.

Kenny Atkinson says that D'Angelo Russell will travel with the team to Mexico City. No word on his status or anything like that. |

Oh yea. Hes gonna get 1.6 M next season. Really intrigued about his upside. Doesn't have any glaring weaknesses and he hardly turns the ball over. 6.2/1.2 assist/TO. Dude must be one of the most efficient ballhandlers in the league. Hoping to see more of him and DLO together once he's back.

He needs to come back soon. Miss watching him play occasionally.
The knee issues do scare me though. |
