NBC NEWS FIRED “Today” show anchor Matt Lauer last week after he was accused of sexual harassment by female colleagues. That came after the network fired its top political reporting star, Mark Halperin, after reports of sexual harassment and assault.
All that came after NBC News killed reporter Ronan Farrow’s investigation into Harvey Weinstein. Farrow, stymied at NBC, took his story to The New Yorker, where it catalyzed the cultural explosion reshaping workplaces in the U.S.
And all of that came after NBC, in the summer of 2016, hired sportscaster Mike Tirico to helm its most-watched program: NFL football. The splashy hire of Tirico, best known for his 10-year run as ESPN’s Monday Night Football announcer, was made after multiple publicized reports dating back to the 1990s of stalking and sexually harassing his female colleagues.
Accounts of Tirico’s behavior aren’t difficult to find — there’s a “sexual harassment controversy” section on his Wikipedia page — and the allegations against him, which include incidents of stalking, groping, and explicit comments toward his female co-workers, are recounted in two books, “ESPN: The Uncensored History” by sports writer Michael Freeman and the 2011 oral history of ESPN, “Those Guys Have All the Fun.”
...During Tirico’s time at ESPN, word of the sexual harassment allegations against him reached the newsroom with six additional women coming forward with their own stories, which culminated in his suspension, according to “Those Guys Have All the Fun.”
“No fewer than 50 cases of sexual harassment” were reported by female staff to ESPN management through the first half of the ’90s, and Tirico became “one of the most notorious cases to arise.” Women said he never took “no” or “leave me alone” for an answer, and his behavior “got way out of line.”

With consequences being levied so sever and accusations so dated, I wonder how may personalities are shaking in their boots? I also wonder how many back room settlements are being negotiated? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I've read articles saying Camille divorced Bill, others saying they're still married. Does anyone have the 411? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Been hearing about Singer being a pedo for a looooong while. I expect more accusers to pop up.

Bryan Singer Accused of Raping 17-Year-Old Boy in 2003
Bryan Singer was sued Thursday for allegedly raping a 17-year-old boy on a yacht in Seattle in 2003.
The alleged victim, Cesar Sanchez-Guzman, accused the director of forcing him to perform oral sex. According to the suit, which was filed in state court in Seattle, the director then forcibly performed oral sex on Sanchez-Guzman and then anally penetrated him.
Later, Singer approached Sanchez-Guzman and told him he was a producer and could help him get into acting if he did not say anything about the incident, the suit alleges.
“He then told Cesar that no one would believe him if he ever reported the incident, and that he could hire people who are capable of ruining someone’s reputation,” the lawsuit states.
The yacht was owned by Lester Waters, a wealthy tech investor “who frequently hosted parties for young gay males in the Seattle area,” the suit alleges.
A Singer representative said he “categorically denies these allegations and will vehemently defend this lawsuit to the very end.”
The suit comes just three days after Singer was fired from “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the biopic of Freddy Mercury now shooting in London. Singer was repeatedly absent from the set and did not return after Thanksgiving, causing a shutdown in production. After he was fired, Singer said he was unable to make it to the set because he was caring for an ailing parent. The studio named Dexter Fletcher as his replacement Wednesday.

Crews is suing agent Adam Venit for allegedly grabbing his junk at an event last year.
The actor has already filed a police report claiming sexual assault and our law enforcement sources say that the investigation is ongoing.
In the lawsuit, Crews says Venit stared at him "like a rabid dog, sticking his tongue in and out of his mouth provocatively." Crews said after the alleged assault he pushed Venit away, and turned to Adam Sandler yelling, "Adam, come get your boy! He's grabbing my nuts."
Crews says on his way home from the event Adam Sandler called and asked if he was ok, and Crews responded that he was surprised he got molested at age 48. He says Sandler expressed shock at Venit's behavior.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Kelly Hoover told Fox News on Tuesday night in an emailed statement, “Following the recent inquiries into the Sheriff’s Office interview of Mr. Feldman in 1993, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office conducted an additional review for any stored items remaining from the Michael Jackson investigation. In a container which included the original reports from the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office located some detective working copies of audio recordings made during the investigation. A copy of Mr. Feldman’s interview was located. The recording is being turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department. Due to the fact that this case involves the alleged sexual abuse of a child, we are unable to comment further and any documentation or evidence related to this case is exempt from release.”
Fox News had originally reached out to the Sheriff’s Office in October at which time they responded, “We are aware of the statements that Mr. Feldman is making regarding an investigation in 1993. Our records do not indicate that he named any suspects."
Feldman's rep told us, "[Feldman] is in possession of the tapes and justice will be served."
In his interview with Matt Lauer on Oct. 30, Feldman, 46, revealed that names were on record after Lauer pressed him about never releasing anything.
"If anyone wants to go back to 1993 when I was interviewed by the Santa Barbara Police Department, I sat down and I gave them the names," Feldman said on the "Today" show. "They're on record. They have all this information. "
The Sheriff's Office previously said in a statement that they were not aware of Feldman naming any suspects.

You're right, he not only looked that way he did it for a living. Crews was a linebacker in the NFL.

Disney Music Executive Charged with Child Sex Abuse (EXCLUSIVE)
Walt Disney Studios
Jon Heely, the director of music publishing at Disney, has been charged with three felony counts of child sexual abuse.
Heely, 58, of Santa Clarita, is accused of sexually abusing two underage girls approximately a decade ago. He allegedly victimized the first girl when she was 15. According to the charges, he began abusing the second when she was about 11 years old and continued until she was 15.
In a statement, a Disney spokesman said the company suspended Heely late on Friday, after being informed of the charges.
“Immediately upon learning of this situation tonight, he has been suspended without pay until the matter is resolved by the courts,” the spokesman said.
Heely was arrested on Nov. 16 by deputies from the Santa Clarita station of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. Booking records indicate he was later released on $150,000 bail.
Marshall Faulk, Heath Evans, Ike Taylor suspended by NFLN after harassment suit filed

NFL Network has suspended three analysts following the filing of a sexual harassment lawsuit against the league-owned broadcasting operation.
Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk, Heath Evans, and Ike Taylor have been suspended pending an investigation into allegations made by former NFL Network employee Jami Cantor, according to Bloomberg.com.
Faulk has the highest profile of the three, with key spots on the network’s biggest studio shows, including its Sunday morning pregame show and its Thursday night pregame show.
According to the complaint, Faulk allegedly asked “deeply personal and invasive questions” about Cantor’s sex life. He also allegedly fondled her breasts and groped her behind. Taylor allegedly sent Cantor “sexually inappropriate” pictures of himself, including with a video of him masturbating in the shower. The Bloomberg report does not specify the allegations against Evans.
The lawsuit also accuses former NFLN executive producer Eric Weinberger of sending “several nude pictures of himself and sexually explicit texts” to Cantor. He allegedly told Cantor that she was “put on earth to pleasure me,” and allegedly pressed his crotch against Cantor’s shoulder and asked her to touch it.
Weinberger currently serves as president of Bill Simmons’ media group.
Former NFLN analyst Donovan McNabb also is accused of texting explicit comments to Cantor, who worked as a wardrobe stylist at the network.
The allegations appear in an amended complaint. Cantor originally filed suit in October.

Is that considered an important position? Saw this on Facebook from the Santa Clarita paper, but didn't know this guy was actually important. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Surprised he was still there, years ago I used to occasionally tune in when Dorothy Lucey and Jillian Barberie were co-hosts.
Back in the stone age, I seem to recall he used to co-host "2 On The Town" with Connie Chung and later on with Dorothy Lucey. It was show that was similar to Chuck Henry's "Eye on LA" with co-host Tawny Little during the early years.

I remember back in the days when he used to host the show with Jillian and Dorothy and Jillian looked like she couldn't care less. She was there reading the tabloids while they were on the air....needless to say they overhauled the show and only Steve was left. To be honest, I don't think Steve had much years left in him anyways, 69 is pretty old for somebody in a morning show.
^True, he probably would've retired in a year or so. Never understood the appeal of Barberie, she seemed content to do her thing and whenever she started doing the news, it was time for a channel change.
Even though Steve's been a fixture in LA televsion, he seemed way past his prime, especially among his more recent co-hosts like Maria Quban and Araksya Karapetyan.

People are talking about Mike Tirico but i don’t get that one. That was 25 yrs ago, and he has had no incidences since then.
Think people need to pick their battles.
Women aren't trying to "pick" their battles. They are telling the truth about what happened to them.
These things have been happening to women since before we were all born. Women are fed up with the whole spectrum of abuse, tired of being quiet about it and tired of being intimidated by institutional misogyny. The only way this changes is if ALL of it comes out. Famous, not famous, 20 years ago, yesterday, relatively minor, completely horrendous. It's all relevant.
What happens to the perpetrators after the truth comes out is a completely separate issue.

I don’t know what to do “fed up” or “offended”. If someone says they are “fed up” does that mean what they say goes? What happens if I am fed up with what you are fed up with? Where do we go from there?
There’s no doubt what Tirico did was in bad taste. But that’s all it was. Why should he lose his job? It was 20 yrs ago.
Are you joining the Kobe jersey retirement protest in some manner? If not, why?
I have no desire to engage you in another round of mansplaining circle jerk blather.
Ok, but I’m just saying there are shades of gray at play here no? Tirico was 20 yrs ago. But if head is to be on the chopping block, then why not Kobe?
Or Ezekiel Elliott? Or Big Ben? Or Derrick Rose? Why are they allowed to return at all and where should it end? That is what I am getting at.
