Kuz seems to always bounce back. Doesn’t gave a lot of bad games, probably less than a handful this season.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he had something like 26 and 7 on Saturday.

I don't like a lot of things Luke does, but his treatment of Kuz isn't one of them. First of all, dude is playing over 30 MPG as a rookie and the #27 overall pick - there's just not much of an argument here for Luke shorting him minutes given the level of talent in our forward rotation. Kuz is getting his share and more. And second, as talented as he is, it's easy to get excited by all the wow plays and want to see more and more, but I totally don't mind Luke putting him in his place from time to time and teaching him the importance of doing the little things. This is about the long term, and it should be in all of our best interests to have him develop into the best, most well-rounded player he can possibly be for the future, over playing a few extra minutes in a meaningless December game during his rookie year.

I want him to improve his defense. Not that its horrible but he needs to make it impossible for Luke to leave him on the bench.

No one plays great all the time. He couldn't get in sync tonight.
No doubt that he will regroup and come out blazing again.

Definitely. Even the best players have bad nights.

Poor game tonight, but that's bound to happen to anyone, especially a rookie. Just never seemed to get anything positive going.

Literally only his 2nd or 3rd clear bad game. I'll take it 1000%

One thing I've noticed from Kuz, and I'm not surprised the stats bear this out, is that he's a much better shooter when open than when contested. The one 3 he made today was wide open. I think he has potential to drain contested 3s down the line though, and 45% on wide open 3s is exciting enough from a rookie.

His shot selection should improve by President's day.

His shot selection is solid Epak! Nothing close to KCP and Lopez

KCP gets away with so much bull on offense...

I thought Kuz was forcing things tonight. My theory is that he wanted to have a big game against, Simmons, on national TV, hoping it would give him a legitimate shot at rookie of the year.

He takes some bad 3s but I agree with you. I was surprised to see NBA tracking had Kuz with 0 heavily contested 3 pointers attempted.

I'm not surprised by that at all. He actually chooses to attack the semi-open/semi-contested shot instead of letting it fly way too much sometimes.

If so, that's pretty dumb. No one votes for awards based on what happens in one game in December.

Good point. I distinctly remember him shooting some contested jumpers though -- I think the confusion on my part is because he has more space than I can see on my TV. So they count as "Tight" instead of "Very Tight"

Luke gives KCP the green light like he's a franchise-level superstar.

I think its a vet respect thing, and also knowing KCP plays with top effort on both sides. I love Kuzma...but I can still admit he kind of becomes a one dimensional chucker sometimes if not controlled.

Definitely had himself a Lonzo type game offensively but we got the W so that's all that matters.

Kuz needs to start. I am Nance fan but our starting unit does not have the shooting it needs and Kuz should be there to help.

I hope that he can work on what ever Luke needs him to work on so he can be starting.

He has to show he is willing to play defense first. Of our 3 PFs, he is third in that category.
