take PG13 out of there it will be Lebron and Boogie

Then it'll be harder to keep Jules.

I will take LeBRon and Boogie if that means losing Randle

Yeah I would rather George and Boogie because they are more of a sure thing that they sign worth us, and LeBron takes too long to make his mind up we don't have time for that 💩

32, it’s illegal. Maybe except in Alabama.

If in your gut you think you have a real chance, I’d rather wait for Bron and lose Cousins than to sign Cousins while Bron is waiting.

Would love saric at center

Salaries don't match; IIRC they spent cap space on Covington extension?

only player to come with Boogie that can control his behavior is LeBron I dont want passive PG13 and his agent that turned the Lakers in on the tampering because he was butthurt about the DLO comments after the trade

LeBron is far greater than PG13 and Julius

I like this, signing Lebron would certainly elevate the Lakers game, but for how long? he really only has 3 or 4 good years left AND if he demands $35mil+ which prevents the Lakers from bringing in Cousins - I would really much rather have a younger PG13 (and Cousins). If LeBron REALLY wants to sign here so he can live in his TWO Mansions, then he needs to give the Lakers a discount (like he did with the Heat), and he will make MORE indorsement money here in So. Cal. so he would not actually be giving anything up...

Of course Cousins might not come here UNLESS we bring in another star, so there are a lot of things to consider and I'm confident the Laker brain-trust will do their best.

But I am also VERY impressed with Clarkson & Randle and don't want to have to dump either of them UNLESS Deng is included...

at least the next 2 years but then you should have Lonzo, Ingram and Kuzma elevating their games to where they take over anyway

LOL! It never was.

We only had two toxic contracts, Timofey Mozgov and Loul Deng. Clarkson has always been a valuable commodity, even more so now at his pre-salary cap increased price!

Yeah, like pmacia said, Ball, Kuzma, Ingram, and Randle will be ready to do the heavy lifting in two to three years.

FWIW, Melo Ball could also be here in 2020 (or 2022, if some other team drafts/cockblocks him).

I find it very odd that people still want to sign a 35 year old lebron when we’ve had such bad luck with old players coming here and failing.

PG and Cousins 2018 or bust.

Don’t live you’re life in fear Russ. Different player (Bron) and different circumstances (a pantry full of young guys to support the old guy).

The old guys in the past were passed their primes.
LeBron is still an mvp contender.

Lebron's not coming with Boogie or with George.

Lebron's only coming if you get both, or some combination of two other superstars.

(which I think is possible but that's not really the point here)

LeBron might also tell the Lakers that he wants to play with a specific player, and at that moment we would be royally screwed cause we would need to give up young pieces to get the player he wants to play with, but everyone knows with LeBron potentially coming, there is gonna be a lot of baggage, and the Lakers know if they sign him they will need to keep him happy.

Who you want doesn’t matter, it comes down to who you can beg to come to a lottery level team.

That's funny, because they were a lottery team last season, and they didn't have to beg Paul George to tell the Pacers, he was signing with the Lakers when he became a FA in 2018.
