Already 23 blocks in 24 games for Lonzo. It took DLO 115 games to reach this total. He really has great timing to go along with his size, lenght and jumping abilities.

Plus his motor is high.

Most of these so-called media people think his motor is low. Not sure how you get that many steals, blocks, rebounds, assists, with a low motor.

Yea I heard dumbass Skip say that. Lmao. Along with "he has a GREAT, not good handle" and "he is a P/R stud, that's what he needs to do more"

Hahahah, ahahahaha

Yea Skip was one of them. I would agree his handles are not great right now and only a good passer out of the PnR. Their analysis of him is just backwards.

Lonzo is a very good athlete. I think people confuse not dunking with not being able to. He's very physically capable of attacking with athleticism, he just doesn't. He's also lightning fast with the ball which is difficult to do for a lot of players. I wonder why like doesn't run more pick and rolls with him. Maybe he doesn't want the team to be dependent on it.

Is that why he shoots a lot of lay-ups from almost below the rim or gets a lot of his shots blocked by other guards?

Being able to catch a lob or throw down a breakaway drunk doesn't make someone a very good athlete or explosive leaper.

With a full head of steam, he is very fast with the ball. He isn't overly quick though and that is more important when trying to get to the rim in the half court.

He and Oladipo are the only guards with 30+ steals and 20+ blocks. Nice.

He needs to learn to play with foul trouble. After he took that charge, every time he got into the paint he passed, and lots of times he passed early

Granted he gave people crazy open shots, but some of those were probably easy layups

Games 21-24: 08-14 57%

epak, how are you doing it? how are you referencing these stats so fast!

mannn... of you don't mind, lemme know your links & methods, I'd love to do this type of statistical sleuthing too!

nba.com brother!
https://stats.nba.com/player/1628366/shooting/?Season=2017-18&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&DateFrom=10%2F01%2F2017&DateTo=11%2F05%2F2017

You can set dates for the stats you want.

And I use https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/balllo01/gamelog/2018/ to see which dates are the games 1-10, etc.

Excellent! thanks!

The data found on NBA.com now is absolutely fantastic. Their search engine works really well too.

There is no reason why he shouldn’t average triple doubles every game, but he seems to sit to much and that kinda throws his game off.

Luke did the right thing tonight. JC more than rose to the occasion.

Zo was playing a decent game but JC was out of his mind tonight and Luke made the right call to let him finish. A very nice problem to have. Good win.

Kid is averaging 33.9 mins per game. If you can't find your game with that amount of playing time maybe it's time to play tennis so he can play all game.

Heh. If you're referring to the Kentucky game, they knew each other prior.
If you mean high school, then yep. They were on the same McDonald's all American team.
