Movie coming out soon. I just wanma say this. If you're a fan of the original trilogy going to see this movie is like watching your best friend being taken out into the forest and getting Negan's bat to the head for almost 2 hours. I gave them a chance with TFA since it was the first movie of the series but wow. Disney didn't drop the ball. The dropped a nuke on the ground. Good luck to anyone watching this weekend. |

When you see reviews for a SW movie and it says funniest Star Wars movie ever. Marvel tier. That should tell you what you need to know. |

I want some good pacing, decent acting, and interesting fight scenes. I stopped caring a long time ago about the intricacies of the story. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

You'll get 1/3 pacing is non existent thanks to quips every 3 minutes. There are some good things but a lot of bad things. |

Most likely paid reviews. There are definitely negative reviews out and i expect more to come out after this weekend. This movie is Clone Wars tier without any soul in it. |

I'll see this because I have 2 weeks off work and I'm a MoviePass owner. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

How does MoviePass work? Is it only select theaters/showings? Sounds too good to be true. _________________ KOBE |

Rarely disappointed by movies like this.
Because I pretty much know what I'm getting going in based on trailers and common sense.
Spacefights, Chewwie and his cute pet dodging enemies, Rey training with Luke, epic fight scene with Rey and the bad guy at the end, ending with the bad guys 1 step closer to achieving their plan, oh and Princess Leia dying (since the actress passed away in real life).
Knowing all that going in, I think I can't be floored away or disappointed. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

It's $10 per month and there are a few catches that I think are completely reasonable given the cost. There are no blackout dates. There are some theaters that won't accept it but they are few (in LA I believe it's just Arclight and Landmark that won't allow it). You can only see one movie every 24 hours. 3D showings and Imax are out. The biggest one is that you have to be within close proximity to the theater in order to claim your ticket. So no buying tickets far in advance. So while you could use it to see Star Wars on opening night, you probably can't because it would be sold out when you got there.
Other than that it's amazing. I saw 4 movies last month for $10 total. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm going to watch this just because Rian Johnson's work on Breaking Bad. Well, that and the fact that keeping up with the cultural zeitgeist is probably worth $14 or whatever. |

Sick. I have a small theater within walking distance of my new place. This is right up my alley. _________________ KOBE |

It was extremely dissapointing. Disney has seriously (bleep) up the entire Star Wars franchise.
The only hope for star wars is Dave filoni. I find the cartoons much more interesting than the live action crap |

Disney should stick to what they know best....Kids movies....
they totally destroyed a fan favorite its watered and hosed down. especially when they got rid of clone wars... they took out the violence and the suggestive themes that was suppose to be in rebels. Filoni does his best though, I can imagine Disney Execs breathing down his neck telling him what he can have and not have |

Those same execs have to be sweating bullets now. SW Land in Disneyland opens up with Episode 9 and if they cant find a way to bring back the goodwill with fans i dont expect anyone to be excited for anything Disney produces that is Star Wars related |

So the overwhelmingly positive reviews are all bought and paid for and/or written by critics who have no clue what makes a good movie? Excuse me if I decide to form my own opinion after I see it this weekend. I have high hopes that it will be everything I've been anticipating. _________________ Not a legend |

+1
Although I am trying to temper my expectations because I was wayyyy too excited for TFA and was disappointed not because it was a bad movie but because it didn't live up to my expectations.
So many mixed reviews online so honestly I don't believe either side that much At the end of the day it's just an opinion and everyone is going to have a different one based on what their expectations for the movie are. |
