Looks like he will be evaluated in 3 weeks. Will be interesting to see what lineups occur with Brook out. _________________ To Be a Work in Progress, You Must Work to Progress - |

Might be a blessing in disguise that Brick Lopez is out. _________________ The road back to the top... |

Quote: | Ohm Youngmisuk: Update: Lopez’s MRI results came back clean.
Lakers will likely play it safe and could keep their starting center out for a few (three) weeks knowing that Lopez has undergone surgeries on that right foot in the past even though this latest injury is to his ankle.

Brook Lopez Expected To Miss At Least Three Weeks
Quote: | Hampered by knee and leg injuries earlier in his NBA career, Lakers center Brook Lopez has been relatively healthy in recent years, having not missed more than 10 games in a season since 2013/14. However, that streak appears to be in jeopardy.
Lopez left Monday’s game with an ankle injury, and has been diagnosed with a moderate ankle sprain, the team announced today in a press release. According to the Lakers, Lopez will be reevaluated in three weeks, so he’ll be sidelined until sometime in the new year. |

Take your time, Brook. 3 weeks is too short. Better be sure about your health and rest for a good 3 months, please. It's contract year and you don't want to aggravate that injury. Best to be cautious about it. |

With that said, maybe now we will actually win some games. Then again with Luke, he might just start Bogut and troll us again. |
Well yeah because Nance and Randle are too short to play center. |

Lopez cleared for practice.
He'd be a pretty sweet center off the bench.
Just go all 3s Brook! At least 7 attempts off the bench! |

I'm fine with him off the bench but we all know that Omar Little has a better chance of making the NBA than that has of happening. _________________ one dog goes that way the other dog goes the other way |

Lopez might be able to keep Adams off the glass, so I like this news a lot. |

Don't understand why he is not featured more in the post in the half court set. He could bring a lot of stability to that part of the offense. _________________ Darvin |

Last night's game was a proof that early on in games we need a rim protector like Lopez at our Center spot. We can't go small ball all the time, that's death.
If we fail on getting Cousins, it'd be nice to retain Brook on a discount, even if with all the shortcomings. It's not like that are many better C's available out there. _________________ www.lakersbrasil.com

We did miss Brook's presence a lot.
But that break actually benefited him. You could tell during the Cavs game (the James dunk, the two air balled FTs...) that his confidence took a big hit. He wasn't himself following this game.
His injury was not a coincidence, those things happen when players let the lows get too low. He came back way more relaxed and focused on positive things. |

Brook's not the best fit with the way we're trying to play but can't fault him for being a total pro, here's a guy in a contract year who's sacrificed a lot of his natural game to help accommodate the roster's shortcomings.
We should be running more plays for Brook in the half court rather than have him constantly standing at the 3 point line waiting for a kickout. With an offense as poor as ours, having a legit NBA scoring option standing at the perimeter shooting a career low is a colossal waste and bad coaching. |
