I just realized how happy I am to be checking the Western Conference standings, hoping for an 8th seed, compared with the last 3 years of checking Tankathon. _________________ Chick Hearn and Vin Scully. How lucky are we? |

I think if we continue how we are playing the rest of the season, we have a legitimate shot at the #1 seed
if we're counting moral victories :] |

Team gets the 8 seed, faces the Rockets, Chris Paul gets injured, upset happens.
Still expect the Warriors to get the #1 seed though. |

Just happy to have a reason to look at the standing again.
After three years of not visiting the place, I had some trouble finding it. _________________ .

We're treading water. We're still in it. I think our best bet is the Blazers falling off. |

When you hope for help, that means you're not ready. We should be 7th or 8th right now, but we've pissed away so many wins. Take care of business and the "help" puts you over the top. Pissing it away and hoping for help does nothing.
Last in the league in FT is just freaking embarassing. Maybe Luke should turn off the music for once and force them to concentrate. Unless the Lakers do the work themselves, as in go on streaks, and I mean several streaks, they ain't getting in this year. |

Yeah, I mainly look at the lost colum because everyone eventually plays 82. And just look at that, 2 games back doesn't sound bad. OKC was teasing for awhile, but they've won 7 of 10 and starting to get their act together. So I do think it's down to Denver and Pelicans. |

I don't believe, but they're basically a win streak away from being back in it.
I only say that because there have been soooo many blown close games _________________ Austin Reaves

This is the most excited I've been watching the team in years. I look forward to watching our games now. Love the energy Luke has these guys playing at every night. Sometimes the end product isn't there but we can't complain with the effort so far. Lonzo, Kuzma, Ingram, Randle, JC, Hart have all been great to watch this year. |

Don’t ask too much for these young players. They are beyond my expectations |

Two games back in the loss column but after playing through the toughest part of the schedule, and playing the best teams in the league close. A long way to go yet, but if we can minimize turnovers and improve just the free throw shooting, you have to take us seriously as a contender for the eighth seed. We just need to buckle down and get something from the rest of the month to stay in contact with .500. |

They do that, against lesser competition, no reason they can’t finish December off strong and January can’t be a winning month and then we go from there... |

Denver and Portland seem to have taken a step back, maybe we can make a run at the 7th or 6th seed, especially if we bring in some help this season. |

I expect to win now. They really started to show some noticeable improvement on the last road trip. They aren’t far off...just continue to grind, limit turnovers and hit the effing free throws.
Their record at the end of season might look pretty decent (relative to expectations) if they can continue on current trajectory. They are looking better and better. |

I'm surprised the Lakers are within striking distance of the 8th. They've been playing well despite their poor record, but I expected the recent losing streak to really set them back. If we can stay within striking distance all the way through the All-Star break, then we'll give ourselves a shot at that 8th seed. |

Just imagine our record right now if not for the refs and costly mistakes, we probably be in the middle of the pack in the WC, all they need to do is correct there mistakes and the wins will pile up. |

i went through our schedule last night and estimated about 25 more wins. that would put us at 36 wins, solid, but probably 5 games short of the playoffs.
Gotta start making some serious headway and win some games like last night to make up for games like the knicks, suns, sixers, clips etc etc that we blown. |

Portland might start losing a lot of games, there a team to watch if we somehow over take them, hamstring injuries linger for weeks and months, if Lillard isn't 100% it will be tough for them to win. |
Aw. Sucks. But yes!!!
They need JC. |
