Besides the fact that he has only played 3 games all season and is averaging 10 points, and is on a minutes restriction. I can think of at least 20 front court players who are more deserving at this time, once you look at the stats (that list includes both BI and Kuzma). Kawhi will be on a minutes restriction for the foreseeable future, I would be surprised if he averages more than 15ppg for the 2017-2018 season. |

Wow I had so much trouble choosing players for the East, once I picked LeBron and Giannis, it was ugly... |

I think what the voters will do: fans (50%) + media (25%) + players (25%) is put Kawhi in, assuming he has maybe 10 good games in January. He gets the former finals mvp pass. |

Thought it wasn't so bad. Lebron, Giannis, Embiid. Kyrie, Oladipo (though many good guard options to select from).
West was a bit of a challenge, mostly because I wanted to avoid voting GSW players (still ended up giving Durant the nod). |

he may get voted in as a starter....being deserving has never been a requirement of getting voted an All Star starter. |

I am pretty sure Melo will not be considered, but I have doubt's PG-13 will be an all star also. |

If Lebron picks PG-13 or Cousins with the first pick.....is that a sign? |

DeRozan gets the starting nod in the East over Oladipo, and I don't know that Lowry gets in over Beal except to balance the roster with another PG. I could also see Simmons being stiffed as a rookie for someone like Kemba Walker due to voter inertia.
Out West, I'm leaning KAT over Jokic by a hair, and I'm also trying to find a way to keep Lillard out - PG13 really needs to step up there. |

maybe....I just question the voting power behind Toronto this season....seems like everyone is kind of bored of them this season....and that Oladipo narrative is pretty strong and growing in my opinion. It feels like he has taken the underdog proving everyone wrong role on within the media. I think Simmons has been better than Walker....but I get what your saying.
Maybe KAT over Jokic....but if its close, and it adds another team getting a player in, they may go with Jokic. It also feels like everyone in the league has soured a little on KAT....and may be hesitant to give him anything because they think he is playing below potential. PG-13 could easily slip in if he closes the first half strong.
