Good for James! Now that he's brought attention to fouls he may have lost his foul ticket. He's the number 1 receiver of 3 point fouls resulting in 4 point plays. Refs don't like being talked about, shown up. Keep talking James.

http://nba.nbcsports.com/2017/12/24/report-rockets-protesting-loss-to-clippers/

Quote:
Report: Rockets protesting loss to Clippers

James Harden complained of “bulls— calls” after the Rockets’ loss to the Clippers on Friday.

But a foul Harden drew is the source of the game’s lasting controversy.

Officials called a foul on the Clippers with 3:10 left. It clearly belonged to Jawun Evans, who had five fouls at that point. But instead of Evans fouling out, the foul was assigned to Lou Williams, who wasn’t involved in the play.

Evans stayed in the game and drew a couple late charges against Harden – frustrating the Houston star and helping the Clippers to a 128-118 win.

The Rockets aren’t giving up, though.

Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle:

The Rockets officially filed a protest of Friday’s game in which a Los Angeles Clippers player should have been disqualified with 3:10 left, a person with knowledge of the protest said Sunday.

An NBA spokesman on Saturday confirmed that the league was aware of the error.

The Rockets paid the league $10,000 to file the challenge and will have the money returned only if they prevail. If the challenge is upheld, the teams would replay the final 3:10 with the Clippers up five, Evans fouled out and Harden stepping to the line for two free throws. (The game could also resume after Harden’s made free throws, though I’d think he’d have to re-shoot them.)

My prediction:

If the league rules a scorekeeping error wrongly assigned the foul to Williams rather than Evans, the challenge will be upheld. The last successful protest came in 2008, when Shaquille O’Neal was disqualified with five – rather than the correct six – fouls in a Heat-Hawks game.

If the league rules the officials intended to call the foul on Williams, even if that was obvious mistake, the challenge will be denied. That seems more likely.

Replaying the last minutes of a game? That's freaking lame.

Take the loss like a man.

Disagree look at all the abuse the refs take from Draymond but he still gets good treatment from them.

Harden definitely gets more calls in his favor than he should. He should keep quiet.

The more you complain, the more the refs will make calls against you.

Not true for the league's stars in most cases.

It was interesting to read Harden's take on there being only two refs compared to Kyrie's.

Harden: We can't play like this.
Kyrie: Just gotta adapt and play through it.

Of course it's always easier for the winner to say that.

Of course it is always easier for cheating Celtics who seemingly never, ever foul with all their grabbing and hacking, to say that. The rules are always different for Boston.

Harden complains about the refs again.

Quote:

James Harden calls out referees, NBA: ‘You can’t have 2 officials in a national game’

“There’s a lot of no calls that need to be called.”

First of all, I want to know how do you only have two officials on a national TV game? That’s the first question.

“But... A lot of grabbing, a lot of holding. I mean what am I supposed to... how else am I supposed to get open? Guy has two arms wrapped around my whole body.

Harden whom is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the ref whistles complaining about them is hilarious. Shows how much he's come to depend on them.

Well, Harden may have a point. I thought both of the fouls called on him were correct. But the NBA admitted that there were multiple no-calls on Boston that were wrong in the last two minutes. Given that there were only two referees, that's embarrassing.

You talking about the Draymond Green who was suspended for the game five 2016 finals and may have cost the Warriors a title? The Draymond Green who has 14 technical fouls, 4 behind the league leader DeMarcus Cousins 18? LINK

Hey I don't mind the game being called more leniently in the 'foul' aspect. This complaining just goes to show how some players have come to depend on whistles as an actual aspect of their game.

He had a legit beef at the end of that game, which is what he was complaining about. A Clipper defender fouled him and shoulda fouled out, but they called the foul on the wrong person and didn't review. Then in two critical possessions the defender clearly flopped on offensive calls in non shooting situations (even the announcers noted it). So he wasn't complaining about FT's. He was complaining about clear errors.
shake, James "i get bs calls all the time" harden never has a legit beef. NEV-ER.
If he wanted legit calls, he would stop flopping on offense trying to bait the refs into calling something that never actually occurred. Let's put it this way. Lets say james gets 10 bogus calls a game to his 3 legit calls he actually deserves but doesnt get. Cry me a river mr harden.
