I asked you the other night if you'd trade Ball for Clarkson straight up... you never answered. I assume that means you would not... in spite of what you are saying.

I did not see the question...but it's just an attempt to deflect because you hate the facts as they are. No, I would not...Ball is 20 with a higher ceiling....I have never argued on that point....nor does it remotely concern me. What annoys me is Ball fan boys constantly trying to diminish other players on the roster in hope of raising Lonzo. I hated to the same bs last year in regards to Ingram.

JC played 35 minutes tonight...scored 20 Points, 5 Rebounds, 8 Assists and 2 TO's on 56% FG%. That is superior production to an average Lonzo game....yet everyone in the thread pretending that Lonzo is so much better....the offense is so much better, etc. It is all false at this point in the season....it is a 100% false claim. Even after they are provided with black and white evidence....they continue to make the false claim. As soon as the numbers support Lonzo an offensive player or support him on the court improved the offense....I will be right there making that claim.

And I told you that I like Clarkson as a sixth man... I don't hate the guy.

However, it seems impossible to separate Clarkson's lack of defense from his sometimes potent offense... so this is why I hate how the team looks when he's the lead PG. We lose rebounds, fast break points, team defense. I liked Lou Williams in that role as well but I wouldn't have high hopes for the team if he were our main guy.

You said you liked Lonzo better... I can accept the rest of your contrarian position knowing that.

[quote="tnell"][quote="Fortysixn2"]Randle plays almost 30 minutes...JC 35....we give up 120. Same story as the last two years. That’s why they don’t start and why we have been terrible the last couple of years, those two guys and DLO playing a ton of minutes and playing no defense. They put up good offensive numbers and run around, so it looks like they are effective...their stats mask how poor they are, so they continue to get minutes.

Wow, seriously? JC led the team in assists and was a +1. All the starters were double digit negatives except Kuz. The starters put us in a deep hole early and you all knock JC? This game would have been a worse blow out without JC and JR.

This game was basically lost because of a lethargic team effort in the first quarter.

Agree. We were shooting blanks and no defense.

Our defensive intensity has disappeared over the last few games.

it wasn't just JR but he was pretty soft on d to start and set a couple of really ugly screens in the first...would have been offensive fouls but he whiffed on both

Yeah but we've been saying that for at least three seasons now.

You can pin point that to the very instant that lonzo went down.

Alex and Ennis aren't big ballers

If anything, one thing that seems to be missing is that Lonzo did alot of little things that added up to the games being more competitive: Mixing it up on the boards; hitting guys in rhythm with a pass; playing pesky defense.

Plus his persona made the games seem more important for everyone, players especially, because of the media hype and attention.
This may be a blessing in disguise for Zo. This break gives him time to observe the Lakers without him and it gives him a little time for introspection and reflection. It will rejuvenate his game.
The hype may die down somewhat and he can actually start playing more care-free and aggressive basketball without the intense media microscope probing his inner-nasal cavity every time he takes a deep breath.

I might need to rephrase my post to say that it's THE movie that moved me (i.e. moreso than any other)

but another that comes to mind is The Truman Show

I have weird taste. But a few "normal" arguably great movies that affected me: The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, McCabe and Ms. Miller, Yi Yi, and Come and See.
