I think overall it is between The Wire and Breaking Bad for the #1 spot.

I place BB in the high second tier because while it is technically and artistically superb, it doesn't have the literary ambition or achievement of the wire. The wire is masterful and broad social commentary that is flawless and brilliant, and can't be approached by that of BB, which isn't a knock.

Nice to see some love for Battlestar, love that show (and I'm not a big sci fi guy... but that show always had a scope and ambition not commonly associated with the genre). Disappointed to not see Sons of Anarchy, another one of my faves. But otherwise pretty cool list, which is surprising since I'm not too fond of RS.

Black Mirror is a Channel 4 show. Give props to the correct people.

Now Season 3 will be a Netflix original, if it is as good as the other two then yeah give props to Netflix.

Horrible list unless we are talking longevity but then Mad Men so high makes no sense. Great show but that's way too high. A monkey made this list and made sure Wire was top 3 and threw in Mad Men to prove to the internet hipsters that they know what they're talking about.

One of the most unique and best shows I've watched. It makes the term slow-burn seem like an understatement but man, the characters were so well written and acted.

Not a big fan of the show “Friends” but i felt that it should be in the top 10. The reruns are still on tv these days and is still very popular. In fact doesnt the actors make more money from the reruns than they did when they were actually acting for the show?

Nope. Not even top 25.

Yeah, while "Friends" was a consistently funny show and one where the cast had great chemistry, it shouldn't be at the very top of the list. Top 100 is appropriate, though.

just finished. its not coming back till next year like GOT :/

i didn't think i'd like it as much as i did my expectations were pretty low i had just finished the show Taboo with tom hardy and it was like super dark and i thought peaky would be the same.

season 3 was a let down in some ways. its not a perfect show, but i like the principle character played by Cillian Murphy. and aiden gillian and adrien brody nice guest stars.

its kinda formulaic in that each season has a villain a plot his family being crazy. i'm going to recommend Boardwalk Empire to my friend who recommended peaky to me. think its kinda in the same mold.

damn. i binged that too fast. need a new show. any suggestions?

If you want to get out of the 20's into modern day crime, Sons of Anarchy is great. It's no Boardwalk Empire by any means but I think it has like 7 seasons so plenty of episodes.

If PB has you wanting something out of England, Luther is so underrated. Idris Elba is perfect in this role.

Yeah i heard he was good in that even downloaded it along with shows i barely heard of like Godless, Gotham, Insecure, Mr. Robot, Outlander, Star Trek DS9, Vikings haven't seen any of them yet, instead decided to rewatch Battlestar Galactica lol.

Saw sons of anarchy way after it ended. it was solid. like The Shield. anyone who's seen peaky can they answer a question:
SPOILER ALERT
alfie wasn't really trying to shoot thomas rt? just like a death by suicide rt? why'd he even betray him at the end? damn. i really enjoyed his character probably the most.

Yeah The Shield was great as well. Another show that I'd recommend is Orphan Black. You'll know halfway through the first episode if you're hooked or not. And it just gets better from there.
