Strange how Brooklyn has nothing but nice things to say about him, and our locker room is still a disaster.

Obviously the cancer metastasized before Magic could rid of him.
Obviously.

This might be controversial, but I am higher on LeVert's ceiling than Ingram. Former seem more suited to today's NBA. Ingram needs to be as good as Deroz with 2P shooting and getting to the FT line if he's gonna average just 1.6 3P attempts in modern NBA to be an all star level player. Or he will have to develop a 3P game like Deroz did this season. LeVert is a better 3P shooter and a playmaker right now. Athletic guy who can handle the ball. Really like his upside if he can stay healthy/

I'm a fan, but I'm still intrigued by the idea of 23-year-old Ingram.

I'm also intrigued by the possibility of "used properly" Ingram, although I still have concerns in that case too.

I posted the same thought on the main board, but I'm blown away that Ingram and Jaylen Brown have almost completely swapped games in 18 months. Coaching matters. Culture matters.

Guy shot 29% in college and is now up to 39% from NBA 3's this year. BI? Nuff' said. Nope, don't need a shooting coach.

While Ingram is the more productive driver, I see the Celtics young guys driving off an immediate move off the triple threat to get a step as opposed to having to rev up with dribbles. It makes a big difference in terms of team offense. Of course, being a shooting threat also factors into that.

Is Okafor looking as serviceable as his stats suggest? 5 rbd/ 2 blk in 12 min is pretty good.

I don't think I saw his best minutes. My GF is watching this closer than I am.

Their announcers being much better than ours is a nice kick in the nads.

They just lost down the stretch to the Celtics. They're so much more fun to watch with so much less talent than the Lakers are that it's upsetting.

Saw a stat on the Twitter -- Nets allow the lowest rate of 3s in the league. And take the 3rd most. Oh and they do so running good sets and stuff. The recipe for overachieving/success isn't complicated!!!

Okafor put up numbers but looked like the same guy to me. Dropping down in the paint with his hands down with guys shooting over him. Poor screens. Contrary to his reputation, I don't think he has good post footwork either. Relies more on handles and strength than fundamentals. He is coordinated and has good tools, so I think he has value as a roll man as long as he works on his screens.

Yeah their announcers blow ours out of the water.

They have less talent than the Lakers but the pieces fit much better and they have shooting and the capability to run multiple PnR.

Eh, start them together over Crabbe. LeVert's got nothing to do with it.

When you realize that Magic and Jeanie and the media that kowtow to them are full of it, things make perfect sense.

Okafor highlights

I agree about his weak screens, and lack of aggression on defense. But he does seem to be trying harder. And his strengths - the hands, handles, and strength, the shotmaking .. seem to be for real. Will be interesting to see what Atkinson can do with him. He's not a natural system fit for them

Sean Marks was with Spurs for many years (as a player, assistant coach, and in front office) and is very close to Pops and Buford, so that's definitely their model

Its the plug and play, but also having a team culture where the team feels like a family. That seems to have worked for them. -- particularly with Nets having sort of become the island of misfit NBA toys
