It's me or is Ebay is becoming less popular than before? I used to buy a lot of stuff from Ebay back then but I haven't use it for it for about 7-8 years now. Most of the transactions from eBay been great but for some reason I don't use it as my primary online shopping stop anymore. I've been using amazon ever since and haven't look back! |

Not for me, since Amazon started charging taxes to Calif purchases and increased their standard shipping fee to $3.98 for CDs; meaning a $5 CD is now nearly $10 bucks, I rarely ever buy CD's on Amazon anymore and look for CD sellers offering FREE shipping on eBay.
Also on eBay: I just purchased a pair of Oakley Carbon Plate Ferrari frames, that sell for $468 dollars on the Oakley site (and $414 on Amazon) and I got them for $149!
I bought more on eBay the last year than Amazon and other on-line sites.
But it really depends on what you are buying and you HAVE TO check comparable prices.
Amazon is awesome if you have to return anything and usually have good pricing, but if their prices are the same as a local store - I will buy it from the local store! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

eBay is still the (bleep) especially for used goods. Craigslist can't beat the security of feedback/ratings and buyer protection and amazon sellers can't compete with the prices. _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."

Used to frequent ebay a lot but they pretty much jacked up the selling fees for the sellers which led to a lot of them leaving the site. Still go there to buy something that would be hard to find elsewhere. |

I use eBay for watches, watch straps, comic books, obscure used items like concert posters and band buttons/ stickers. For the most part I don't mind pre-owned items if they are still in great condition and I can save 50%-70% off retail.
And thanks for the reminder, I've got $25 in eBay bucks I need to redeem. |

Haven’t shopped on eBay for years.
I just prefer Amazon. If I was in the market for a collectible or some specialty item then maybe I would. |

I get why he is still buying CD's. He's looking for real music and not the easily accessible pop music that the streaming services serve up.
However, I'm disturbed that he thinks he's getting a deal on Oakley sunglasses when he is over paying for cheap knockoffs. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Yeah, it's basically a place that is for collectors and people looking for second hand items. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I've been an eBay user since 99.
I always find a reason or excuse to buy something.
It really depends what you are looking for. Want an autographed Rage against the Machine album? eBay.
Want a six pack of tube socks and a car charger? Amazon. |

Ebay is my personal playground. I bought so many things I didn't need
You can save so much money with $15 off $75 coupons and ebay bucks. If you are a frequent shopper you can get targeted promotions.
If you have Samsung Phone, you can occasionally get 10% off ebay giftcards.
Also most sellers don't charge tax.
If I need something within 2 days I generally use Amazon |

I've done several hundred transactions on ebay over the years. It's more bustling than ever. Almost EVERY store has an ebay front. Often times they'll deals via ebay that are better than their own websites. I buy just as much off ebay as Amazon. _________________ KOBE |

At that price they are indeed 100% fake. |

Sorry guys, as much as you are hoping I got screwed, I got them today and they are 100% genuine! I know what fake ones look like and so does my eye doctor, anyway, I bought them form an established US Oakley distributor whom I have used before...

Not at all disappointed. I have 2-3 grey market sellers that I use to buy watches. 100% authentic and at a steep discount as pre-owned. Normally in the $600-$1200 range, marked down significantly from retail, nothing outrageous. But even at that price getting burned is a good size hit to the budget. Happy to hear you got the genuine glasses.
I think what's given eBay the bad rep however, is the abundance of fakes. It takes a sharp eye to know the difference between a great deal and a fake.
I love eBay btw. |

I am a big eBay buyer as well. Almost always cheaper than Amazon (although I do use Amazon before eBay at times because the two day shipping). _________________ "I'm Magic before retirement, illest in the game." |

If ebay could implement a better user review and comment section I would probably never use Amazon again. I'm more of an ebay guy but i constantly find myself going to amazon to check out reviews. Then I decide which one is cheaper. |

eBay is great for niche shopping... as a record collector I use it quite frequently. They good a good job of making the buyer feel secure, especially when purchasing used goods. |

Been buying from Amazon for a long time.... but just recently bought from eBay for the first time last year. Just a straight up purchase. Got a great deal on a pair of brand new Kobe Nikes. The same shoes were about $100 more everywhere else.
They've got some pretty great deals if u know how to look. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

I'll check it from time to time like if I ever want to buy something used, but i haven't ordered anything since they refused to help me with a an order that was marked as delivered but never was.
They have this the ebay "buyers protection" thing on every listing, but I paid for an item and it was never delivered and I was sh*t out of luck according to them. With Amazon if the item is not delivered or lost whether it is marked as delivered or not they usually will either refund me or send me it again. |

How long ago? Last few year's they almost unequivocally side with the buyer. The "Item Not Received" has been a bane of sellers. If you're one with no ethics, you can really (bleep) over sellers with their current system. _________________ KOBE |
