Would we care about his arrest if he was balling?
Unfortunately he's not balling.
His family must be having it rough and you can tell it's affecting his game.
He hasn't been this unfocused prior to the lock down |
I have no sympathy for someone making millions while in jail for being an idiot who could have killed someone with his stupidity. Sorry. |

If I was him, I would save a lot of this years salary because he is killing his value with his play. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

If he were a free agent one year prior, he'd be on a 4 yr/ $80M contract lol |

Offensively, based on his career averages KCP is pretty much as advertised. He's always been a low efficiency player. Defensively though he doesn't seem to have the impact he was expected to have, although on the other hand we shouldn't have expected him to be the second coming of Michael Cooper.
Maybe we shouldn't really judge him until we have a good sample space of him playing after he's done serving his sentence. I'm not making excuses for him, but it may be next to impossible to play with focus and passion under those circumstances. After all, he was playing much better in November. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

I think that's pretty fair value for him.
Especially the year before. |

I think we just vastly overrated this guy. He is basically putting up the exact same numbers than last year. Same scoring, same (in)efficiency, same passing, same DefRtg, and yes, career highs in rebounding and steals.
Honestly, we shouldn't be shocked because what we are witnessing is just the player he's always been. If we made that decision knowing what we were doing, this is simply what we signed for.
With that being said, I hope he's gonna be able to play more relax and clear headed bball now that his penalty is over. Before that 8 games stretch, he was actually balling by his standards |

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to be OK'd for travel
Quote: | Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is being released from the Seal Beach Detention Center on Monday morning and would be permitted to travel with the team outside of California, league sources tell ESPN.
The 6-foot-6 shooting guard is near the conclusion of a 25-day sentence for a probation violation that originally occurred from an arrest in March for suspicion of a DUI in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Sources say he will no longer be on probation and will have no restrictions on his driver's license. |

We did Rich Paul's client a huge favor by letting him serve minimum security jail time while with the team, allowing him to end probation and restrictions early. Now since his client is free to go, he should feel free to go. I don't care where, just go. |

One year filler deal so no sweat off of our back, but I just wish we could have held onto Nwaba. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

It's not like he's killing it, probably could still be had as a FA. In any event, Hart is a better version of him, although I still think he'd be a great piece off the bench (and I'd rather start Hart). |

Oh yeah I agree with that- he is not killing it mainly because his shooting needs to improve something that Hart is much better at.
BUT, I just liked how physically strong and dominant he is- big hands, huge hops and he hangs his hat on D. IMO he is like a guard version of Jordan Bell. My point is that I would much rather have Hart and Nwaba at a very reasonable cost than Hart and a one year rental of KCP.
I will drop this here:

I think we sometimes forget that KCP is still a young player. He is younger than Clarkson and Nance. |

It's fair value if your goal is to sink 20% of your salary cap on marginal at best, 3-d talent. _________________ KOBE |
