He’s been useless garbage at the PF too
Literally provides nothing |
Huh? |
He’s garbage whether he’s playing the C or PF
He’s afraid to shoot.
His d has been weak.
His screen setting has been good
His boarding has been okay _________________ 24 |

Just isn’t progressing on the offensive end and quite frankly isn’t playing well on defense right now at the 5. |

Larry is awesome at help defense.
When he's the 4 he can help and still have the 5 behind him to protect the rim.
When he's the 5, he usually always helps and there's no one else to get his back.
I think the 4 spot is what he should be.
But I think Luke wants to test out Larry at the 5 to see if the guards can drop down when Larry does help. |

Luke just isn't putting Nance into a good position to succeed. He's solid at power forward, can be disruptive on defense. He's not a very good center but he's getting the vast majority of his minutes there right now. |

Agreed, but I'm not sure I would put this one on Luke. He really has a tough juggling act with the center/forward rotation, and we also rightfully criticized him for completely botching it until recently with the mistreatment of Jules. Ultimately, he can only satisfy a couple of these guys at a time and there's going to be an odd man out. If Jules get his minutes at PF and you also want to give Kuz enough time off the bench (both of which I think are deserved and higher priorities because they're in the best interest of the team, present and future), there are only so many minutes that you can run Nance there. That's before even getting into the limitation of the small ball lineups with Jules at center that have been so successful - Nance at PF in those units almost defeats the purpose, and maybe it's improved this year, but hasn't the Jules/Nance 5-4 combo historically been weak for us?
Personally, this is why I would trade Nance before the deadline and commit to keeping Jules long term in the summer, because I think it's the best path forward outside of getting that commitment from Lebron. It sucks because Nance is an ideal glue guy on a championship team and a big win for the scouting department overall, but we're not close to a championship right now, his rookie deal is up in a year, and better roster balance absolutely needs to be the top priority right now. |

Center spot is ok against other small centers? |

He did well tonight. I thought the bench tonight looked the best it's looked since the injuries set in. |

We don't know if the reports are true. Woj could have gotten his info from a disgruntled agent or a front office hoping to score Nance and kick the Lakers while they are down.
At least that's what I'm hoping. |

Can't lose both Randle and Nance. If Randle is on his way out, you have to keep Nance. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

Lakers Rumors: Larry Nance Jr on the trading block?
Quote: | Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com wrote about the Lakers looking to move Nance.
The Los Angeles Lakers, needing to shed salary for summer free agency, had been hopeful of waiting until the end of the season to move Jordan Clarkson — owed $26 million beyond this season — but there’s a mutual desire to find something sooner than later. The Lakers have made it clear that Clarkson, Julius Randle and Larry Nance are available. |

everyone is on the block man. We are not winning anything with our current roster. Anything our FO can do to bring us better talented vets needs to be done. If we end out doing that while keeping Lonzo, BI and Kuzma we will have been lucky.

Nance looked good at small ball center in the last game. Hopefully he can figure the 5 spot out, because his lack of three point shooting wouldn't be a big problem at center. |

I wonder if he is just garnering more interest around the league than Clarkson and Randle. Almost as if he has to be the sacrifice.
They better have those 2 max guys on a wink wink because this is getting ugly. It’s also pretty effing dangerous to make these salary dump trades when you don’t have the 2 max FAs officially signed. |

Honestly If I'm a GM depending on need I would want Nance over Clarkson or Randle but that's just me. You know you can integrate him without too much drama. I think we will find out who teams value more soon enough. |

What frustrates me about that article is that it came from Woj, he's connected. Why would the front office put out that kind of message about its players coming off their first win a while? |

I’m also perplexed by all the leaks. I don’t see the value in operating that way. |
