LiAngelo Ball, LaMelo Ball combine for 29 points in Lithuanian pro debut

Quote:
With parents LaVar and Tina Ball sitting courtside, 19-year-old LiAngelo scored 19 points, and his younger brother, LaMelo, finished with 10 and had several no-look assists to lead Prienai Vytautas to a 90-80 victory over Zalgiris' second team.

LaMelo is gonna be really good. His court vision is great.

True. People bash him a lot for being a chucker. But he has the passing skills and handles. Gonna be an all round offensive player as he matures.

oh wow.....I just learned that the team they were playing against was a junior team of only 16 & 17 year olds. Most of the other team was actually younger than LaMelo....and they had the lead at halftime! The Lithuanian team had 20 and 30 year olds playing.

Melo is only 16 so I doubt opposition had many players younger than him.

Vytautas are a really bad team at pro-level. They lost their last Lithuanian league game 113-56. Ball bros didn't play that one. They have lost 8 straight games in Lithuanian and Baltic leagues. I see no reason why LaMelo and Liangelo can't get minutes in Lithuanian league in such a weak roster. Both could easily be their best players. They pulled out of lower level Baltic league to play in BBB challenge.

So I think these first 5 games (The “Big Baller Classic” or whatever they’re calling it) are just a series of friendly games against other Lithuanian teams’ junior teams..

Then after that actual Lithuanian league play starts. That’s when it’ll get interesting, as from my understanding, the level of play in that league is actually pretty solid.

what is the purpose of have 240 lb. LiAngelo out there playing against 16 year olds? The report I read was that at least one or some of his teammates were over 30 years old.

Yup. By far the highest on that channel though(It's not a BBB page despite the name). Other vids have like 200k views.
