I watched one Hutchinson highlight, looks to be solid. When I don't see really good ball handling against that low division comp, I tend to worry that it'll fall apart in the nba. I guess that's fine though because that wouldn't be his role. I don't remember his athleticism.. anything semi advantage-ish?

What do you think of the next Damon Stoudamire?

The issue with Hutchinson is that he plays the Kobe/Ingram role. Everyone else is moving the ball and he's the sole creator, so he starts pounding away to create a shot. It's the body control at the rim and the halfcourt athleticism to finish that stood out, along with the assist percentage. He's just an attack wing.

I've seen a few LSU games. I'm not sure of his size (that's my only concern really). My concern is that he needs shot volume to build that kind of great rhythm. Trae needs that volume too but at least has elite NCAA passing tools as well.

Just watched some of that Hutch highlight on the last page , that was nice. Athletic dunks, pull-up 3. He navigates reallly slowly off the dribble - that ups my concern that the handle will fall apart vs better comp.. hmmm.. It could still come around in a couple years though.

Tremont looks solid upper body wise - he might have that DLo top heavy bod. I think he has advantage-quickness and a great knack for finishing for his size, the 3ball probably takes rhythm like you said, but he's shooting 42% on the year and takes a lot off the bounce....... and his handle has spectacular flashes

dudes don't worry even if draft twitter has a guy in the first round he's liable to go in the 2nd. If you like Hutchison and he's not in the 1st round on most mainstream mocks he's probably not in the 1st round for most NBA FOs either.

The latest Ringer lottery mock:

1. Atlanta - Doncic
2. Orlando - Young
3. Memphis - Bagley
4. Celtics (via LAL) - Ayton
5. Dallas - Bamba
6. Kings - Porter, Jr.
7. Chicago - Jackson, Jr.
8. Cleveland (via BKN) - Mikal Bridges
9. Phoenix - Sexton
10. Charlotte - Miles Bridges
11. Utah - Knox
12. Clippers - Shake Milton
13. New York - Troy Brown
14. Philly - Alkins

Link

They seem to have run out of steam there at the end projecting need picks rather than BPA. Also, if I'm Memphis and Ayton is there, I'm taking him.

How did he look in the second half? The stat line looks solid except for the putrid 2P%.

I'll go Lillard + McCollum given the defense we've seen from Booker and Sexton so far, but they'd light up the scoreboard for sure. Add a rim protector like Gafford or Robinson with the Heat pick, and the Suns could finally be in business...

...which means it won't happen.

Posted here (instead of NCAA BBall thread) because he had been showing up in many mocks near our pick in 2nd round. Tankathon had him @ #43.

Not much information has been released....so at this point just wish him and his family strength and health through this battle.

Just so I'm clear; when we lose the 1st rounder this season is that it for us in picks owed? We start having a 1st and 2nd each year after that right?

Also what do we have this year? Two 2nd rounders from that Bulls trade a while back?

No we don't have our 2nd round pick in 2019 either. But we have Denver's 2nd this year and Chicago's 2nd next year (both from the Bulls trade).

You hear the one about the guy who moved from West Virginia to Florida and raised the iq of both states?

Leaning towards Bagley not being an elite prospect, 8-10 for me, shooting is vital.
Also not sure if Bamba will ever develop the jumper(the length of his arms may be a factor idk)
Doncic
Ayton
Trae
Porter - could end up being the best in the class
Sexton/Bamba (sounds like a Spanish party song from 1999)

If Jalen Brunson isn't attainable, Phil Booth is next.

Phil needs to learn PG skills, but can't deny those insane shot percentages.

Assuming we keep the Denver pick, it’s gotta be Jevon Carter if he’s still there. Right? I think he could have as much or possibly a bit more impact than Hart right out the gate.

Jevon Carter or Tyler Ennis or overpaying for a decrepit vet?

I'll take Carter.

Duke suffers from really subpar guard/wing play in general. duval has been a disappointment in general and can't shoot a lick. I am certain that Bagley would look a lot more terrifying if he were paired with some competent guards. Unfortunately Duke is stacked in the frontcourt rather than the backcourt this year. He's one of those guys who I am almost positive will be better in the NBA than he is right now, and even with all that said he's still putting up stud numbers.

I'd be happy with a Caruso vs Carter battle for the backup 1 spot next year.
