As I said in my post when they did out Christmas game, they are a minstrel show. As soon as the game goes off, I turn the channel. You learn zero about the game of basketball watching those 4 clowns!

Yeah - Barkley "the Lakers should have had an easier time beating the Spurs"... even though the Spurs still had Aldridge, Gasol, Ginobili, could not find it in themselves to compliment anything the Lakers did, act as though it was a terrible game. Great highlights like the LNJ skyscraper dunk and they act all bored.

These guys are truly asshats.

Say what you will about the guy, but his comments turned up the heat on the team and honestly they needed a kick in the ass.

Probably better to have your coach do it, but Luke is still very much a work in progress.

that was what the 710espn guys were saying on the pregame

Throw Randle and Clarkson into the Bermuda Triangle like we did with Deng.

I caught that too right at the end. Talk about the polar opposite of Barkley and Kenny. And the same announcer commented on the stretches of very good defense by this Laker team tonight.

If only they could get rid of Barkley and Kenny, and replace them with Greg Anthony and Kobe Bryant. Might not be the minstrel show they want, but intelligent basketball discussion would become possible again.

I'm guessing they'll be lacking but I'll have it nonetheless

They are morons. Stick to a post-game show I can avoid and I don't have a problem. When they announce games though...

He's been great going back to the 3peat days. He always had really insightful comments. Guess his Q rating isn't high enough because he's always never got as many gigs as I felt he should have. He's one of the best out there.

Good win by the team, especially when it seemed they were gonna find a way to blow it. The team will need to learn to not turn the ball over so much. Thankfully their defense forced a lot of turnovers and they made SA pay for it.

Keep it up boys. Let's climb to 10th in the tankathon. It's within reach. I'm fine with giving Philly the 10th pick.

As for the Spurs, they sure know how to devlope a spot up shooter, don't they? I was like who the heck is Forbes? If you don't have much ceiling and little chance to stick in the NBA, letting Pop mold you is the best opportunity you can get. Their accurate spot up shooting has annoyed me since Jaren Jackson in the '99 playoffs.

Didn't want to start a new thread but I didn't see a QFTOS for the Spurs game. Am I missing it?

This is what I'm always saying when people claim that Bill and Stu are the best we can do and talk about what Laker hating homers the other teams announcers are.

Greg Anthony is just an NBA journeyman with no Lakers ties yet he is partial to the Lakers and follows the game enough to speak intelligently on the opposing teams as well. Guys like this should not be hard to find. This is the Lakers! Who wouldn't want this job?

I hated Greg Anthony as a player because he always seemed to play well against us, but he's always been solid in the booth. I'd take him over Stu's grumpy old ass any day. At this point Stu is just hanging on for the paycheck. We desperately need a shot of new energy.
