Maybe that's why he put Randle and Clarkson together so they can 2 man game and generate offense that way

Ennis provides absolutely nothing on the floor.

not a lead guard on a transition heavy team. same would have been true of Fish.

heard that devin harris may not be interested in moving and cuban would honor that.

Clarkson doesn't quite have the vision and mentality for a lead guard.

so we are stuck with ennis, who should be in the G.

hope magic gets that person next year.

That's if we have money left because after the 2 maxes we won't have it.

Doesn't need to be fixed necessarily for a non playoff team.

In Ennis' defense, he hasn't played that many games or minutes this season. I think he's doing a good job distributing the ball, but he's not hitting shots inside or out.

I still think an obvious small but impactful move would have been Kendall Marshall...would have at least maintained the desired "pace" way better than either Ennis or Caruso...

We were sniffing 8-9 place in west before zo went down with a dirty shoulder. Without zo we are 0-6.

Unless Teodosic becomes a Laker, Lonzo's skill set is awfully difficult to replicate.

Does Ramon sessions have anything left? Did he develop a jumper?

I remember when he was first here and Mikey would tell him not to run

That six games lose streak, was part of a 9 game losing streak when we also went 1 - 12. So it's not like we were winning with ball, and then lost when he went out. We lost when ball was here, then we lost when ball went out, then we lost again when ball returned.

So us dropping out of playoff contention was more about overall team play and better competition rather than just about a poor backup point guard

I doubt the clippers would give him up

Before Ball went out we were competitive with good teams and beating bad teams. Then we he went out we lost to bad teams. Now we’re 3-1 since his return. Not having anybody who can replicate what Ball does was the biggest reason why the losing streak happened. It’s silly to argue that.

I don't think the Lakers need to go get a backup point guard.

I would rather they just stick with the guys they have for now as the roster makeup is likely going to look very different next season.

I do think a good veteran backup for next year would be ideal, preferably one that can drain 3's so maybe you can run him with Lonzo at times.

Obviously guys like KCP, Lopez, Randle, Clarkson are unlikely to be here next year so the roster is going to be very different most likely so I see no need to tinker too much now.

I was a big defender of having Ennis as a backup going in to this season, but I've been very disappointed with how the team looks when he's on the floor. It's almost like trying to push the pace takes him out of his game. We do need a backup PG.

Then again, next season we need a starting SG, a starting C, and a backup SF as well.
