Unless Ainge identified a psychological deficiency beforehand that led him to believe that Markelle was at risk of wrecking his own game / shoulder, I wouldn't call him genius over this. Process, not results...

One of the strangest things I've ever seen in the NBA.

He has to be hurt. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until they come out and say that he's physically 100% and/or he gets surgery and receives a clean bill of health at some point. Until then, I'm not going to be too hard on him.

I agree, I'm not going to do the typical LG pile-on of a non-Laker, give him some time, I'm sure he can average 12ppg at some point in his career.. _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

It’s absolutely bizarre, though.
If he’s not 100%, then the Sixers have to shelve him for his own good because he’s putting himself in position to cause further damage. Additionally, he’s cementing some hideous form in the meantime. He’s going to have to spend a lot of time to just to get back to where his J used to be.
If the altered shot is due to physical limitations, maybe this is all because he has a fear of going under the knife and prefers to allow it to “heal on its own” and is playing good soldier and that broke shot is his way of sullying forth? _________________ We back.

I’m sure if sixers could call him a rookie in his second year they would. That’s what they do

He shoots like he's hurt.
Even with the lower shot pocket/release from Vegas, he was hitting.
So what's going on? Either the 6ers staff are misdiagnosing the situation, Markelle or the organization doesn't him want to undergo surgery or both. I highly doubt anyone over there can be any more optimistic than us about the current state of his shot. _________________ We back.

No idea. It's almost like he has a back muscle that's constantly contracting and now it's totally fatigued. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
I don't think he's a bust. He's clearly suffering from some kind of shoulder/back injury. I would do the famous 76ers redshirt and he'll come out guns blazing next year. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
He already was diagnosed and recovered..... he ain't that hurt no more. It's 90% mental with some soreness . They say he's healthy now , took a lot of time

Well, the reality is none of us really know. They cleared him to practice and say he's healthy, but they also said he still has soreness. And of course people do get misdiagnosed. Right now, I don't see a point in trying to guess what's going on or what is causing this. I'm not sure if the doctors, the coaches or Fultz himself knows.
Man, I know it's early but colangelo got duped big time. Not only is he not playing but Tatum is up there for rook of the year and they get our pick this year.
