Without looking I'm gonna guess that those teams haven't played the Rockets and Warriors six times combined yet. Lakers have played some bad basketball for sure during stretches but damn that December schedule was brutal. |

I don’t even know how to read that. Our SOS is 0.014 highe than Brooklyn.
How many SOS units, roughly, are worth a win? Does anyone know how to get there? |

Also I just saw the Mavs replay for that inbound and their color commentator was like "ooo" on lonzos pass too hah |
My point is where Lonzo threw the pass to KCP, if it had been picked, the Mavs would have had the ball right in front of the Lakers basket for a point blank layup.
You even noted that it was a risky pass in your initial post. That's my point- to avoid that risk altogether by inbounding in the front court.
But maybe it's more about better instruction for Zo- call timeout if there isn't a clean easy pass to make. |

I was trying to quantify the value of SOS difference in terms of wins. As in, Philadelphia has a harder SOS than the Warriors but the opponent strength can’t account for the difference in their records alone. So how many of their wins, by GS, can be credited to SOS?
Is the reason our record is worse than Brooklyn because we have a 0.014 higher SOS? Or, is our record worse because we haven’t played well AND we have a harder SOS. |

Prolly just not giving nets roster enough credit, they’re way deeper than us, have a handful of talented wings and get decent contribution from vets. We have more potential overall, but they’re roster is better suited to win games today. |

So far I want to say they have the Nets have the better coach too. Just based on what he can do with his roster and the green light he gave DLO. |

Walton still can’t figure out how to have his 5 best players on the floor at the same time. Only way to beat the top teams in the West is talent on talent. Took Luke too long in the season to start Kuzma and Randle. If offense is stagnant 5,6 trips in a row, put in Clarkson more often. Ride the best mismatch for the game as your last shot closer. Practice results are not the best way to predict results. In game results should weigh more than practice. |

Heavy practices might be doing more harm than good at this juncture of the season. Probably need more off-days like the other day. Our players are mostly young but they also need to rest their legs especially the rookies. |

10th in defensive efficiency
29th in offensive efficiency
Defense is steadily climbing. You can understand why our offense struggles watching how we play when things get tight. A lot of hero ball and the pace slows to a crawl. |

It’s weird. It “feels” like our defense is worse than that our offense better than that. |

Might be because we score a lot and give up a lot but the efficiency something else |

Luke is good. He lets the young players move the ball and move without the ball. He lets them focus and start to play good defense too. Is it the first overtime win? It seems they’ve finally learned how to close out a game after losing many closing game. It seems they have also learned to play through injuries and work out the rotation issues finally.
Luke is still green in in-game rotation and calling timeout etc. But it seems he is working them. It’s worthy to wait and see what his team could be |

Lavar was right.
We're struggling to score points and this idiot brings Caruso as the first one off the bench instead of Kuzma and Clarkson who can get hot. |

I said can. Never said they will. You give yourself at least a chance to see if they can get us back in the game. You put them back in down 15 instead of down 7, it makes no sense. |

Which would be a huge mistake. I wouldn't agree with letting LeBron pick the coach he wants even if he was already a player on the team, but firing Luke and replacing him with Fizdale out of hope that LeBron will be enticed by it would be awful. What if it doesn't work? Now you've set the team back by hiring a new coach who's going to change everything and will have to build chemistry with the players, which means everything that was built the last two years is thrown away. That's bad. The franchise needs stability. You don't gain stability by going through a carousel of coaches. |
I know, and why would they assume hiring Fizdale would ensure LBJ coming. He also told the Heat he liked Shabazz Napier and they drafted him, Lebron bolted back to Cleveland. |
It's a win win for me, because even if we don't get LBJ, we'll still end up with a better coach. |
Are you sure about that? Didn't he get run out of Memphis? _________________ "You cannot live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you"

So he watches us make a run without Crook and Ennis the WOAT and still starts them the 2nd half.

I am officially on board with the Fire Luke camp smh I have held out but starting Ennis & not even giving Payton a chance after his 4th quarter in Memphis, he is beyond my comprehension. |
