Bump. Cavs haven't been looking so great recently. I can see Lebron telling the Cavs he's not resigning before the trade deadline.

I doubt it. Serves no purpose for him.

Exactly. That's the opposite of how he will play this.

If the team melts down and gets booted from the playoffs early, he can say he did his best, but Gilbert did a bad job of building a team around him, let David Griffen go, etc. Lebron will make Gilbert the bad guy if he leaves.

If winning is the most important thing, shouldn't Lebron join the Warriors. That will guarantee him at least 3 rings

LeBron in Houston would be just as competitive team as possible for GS... over a 3 year period Houston would definitely win one or two.

LeBron here would still have a better squad than in Cleveland and we'd have the right type of talent/players to upset GS only concern is that the talent would be a little too young.

LeBron has 2 really good options if he wants to leave.

LOL for sure Clippers. Lebron wants to go be a bigger Chris Paul. Writers are so clueless.

Completely.
That list was a joke. No mention of the financial difficulties involved to make it work in Houston, Embiid's delicate health, etc.

Then they say he won't come to the Lakers because he wants to compete for titles, but they put the Knicks 3rd on their list ?

The Knicks do have a unicorn to be fair who really needs a
first option.

Lakers, at this stage, must be an after thought. We don't have
much to offer at this stage except a few rookies that are pretty raw..

Might as well add GS and Boston, they have more assets than Houston

Well, #23 belongs to GPII now, which means doors are closed for LeBron in LA.

We don't need Lebron. According to a new thread someone suggested keeping Randle over acquiring Lebron would be the way to go... 🙄

As long as winning is LeBron's priority. He won't be here.

Simple as that.

Any team Lebron goes on becomes a contender. If he came here playoffs wouldn't be an issue. And youre gonna need to face GS at some point so why not get it done early and have the finals be a cakewalk?

So if LeBron joined the Hawks tomorrow they'd be a contender?

Yes, and they would make moves to augment his addition, if that ever happened. Just like the Lakers would, by the way. If we got LeBron, it's not going to be just him coming here.

Yeah, if Lebron were to come here, he would want a squad around him. I try not to agree with VLF, but I think he would be right. If Lebron were to come here, that means PG would be coming here, that means Lebron would request we trade Ingram for someone who can help immediately, which means Luke might be out and Fiz might be in. Lebron would not agree to come alone or to baby sit a bunch of kids.

Pretty much.
Also, the real question is: Contender for what?
Playoff Contender: No Doubt!!
Title Contender: Maybe, but uncertainty gets the best of me.
GSW Upset Contender: LOL No.
