Hierarchy based on what? Just preference?
If so, I have to say, and I know this isn’t a breed, but I love mutts. |

I have 2 dogs at the moment.
JACK is Half German Shepherd, 1/4 Siberian Husky, 1/4 Timberwolf. He is smart AF, loyal, completely compliant, and trainable when rewarded with treats. He now craves praise and affection, and will do anything commanded. He needs to be run and loves to show off.
HARLEY is half Pit Bull, half Bull Dog. Dumb AF. Can’t learn a thing, except to fetch and gnaw, so mostly she just follows her brother’s lead. She is a love bug who craves companionship, hates to be scolded, and is the sweetest, most affectionate dog who only wants to obey and nuzzle and love on everyone.
Agressive breeds require a delicate balance of discipline and praise, attention and dominance. In exchange, they give love, compliance and protection. Certainly not for the faint of heart, but definitely rewarding. Feed them well, exercise to exhaustion, train with treats and give them attention. Lots and lots of attention.
And never, ever let them forget who is boss. |

My dog Bixby is a mixed terrier, about 30 pounds, and he's intuitive and quirky...just like his owner lol. I've had him since he was about 2 months old, and now he's almost 9 years old, but most people assume that he's 2 or 3 because of his friendly nature and good-hearted disposition. He loves other dogs and humans (and really loves kids), but he's not a lap dog. I mean, he'll jump up onto the couch or even the bed if prompted, and loves being petted, but he doesn't like being right next to someone when he lays down, or laying his body on someone, or even being picked up and held (though he's pretty big for that). He doesn't like it when I hug someone else, even my mom or dad, and he'll offer up a quick bark or two until the hug is over, and he always starts to bark loudly in exuberance for a minute or two if he's been left alone for more than an hour and then I come back home. (If it's later at night, I make sure he quiets down, in respect of the neighbors in the building). He definitely has separation anxiety when left alone, and never eats or drinks water when he's alone. Like most dogs, he's always interested in whatever food we're having, but he disdains lettuce and other vegetables...just like his owner lol.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with him. I never had him formally trained, but he handles himself pretty well, luckily. (He just has those minor barking issues, but since they are never angry barks, I'll take it.) Since he's the first dog I've ever been responsible for on my own, I feel a pretty strong emotional attachment to him. I'm not going to handle it well when he's gone. |

I'm biased towards my mixed terrier, but I will say that I've always loved golden retrievers and labs and huskies. DMR's goldendoodle call is a good one, and I'll give poodles some love as well. I'd never want to own one because they don't live that long, but there's something about bulldogs' faces that make me smile. |

Ha, off-topic for this thread, but I heard that in the next "Creed" film, Dolph Lundgren will be in it and that Drago's son will be fighting Adonis in it. |

Haha!
Best dog I've ever owned was a German Shepard Doberman mix. I've owned a Rottweiler, boxer, sharpei(dumbest dog owned), great dane(great dogs), and probably something else I can't recall atm. I want to get a cane corso next, but ill check a few other breeds first. Just don't have the time for one right now unfortunately. _________________ "It's just a job. Love my mixed terriers. We’ve had two. First lived for 19 years and was an alpha supreme. Never seen anything like that. I don’t know how other dogs know but they did. It was weird. That dog was a character. Smart as hell and only about 18 pounds.
We have another mixed terrier now. He’s a complete lap dog with a lot of personality and affection. Love mixed terriers. |
